I don't know how to use this.

you hook a jumper wire from your radio to radio input of the meter . Then hook your antenna to the other side of the meter., Turn the radio on to channel 40 make sure your meter is set for for,now key the mic.make the adjustment to cal on meter. Now put the meter on ref , key the mic and write down that number. Now go to channel 1 and do the same. If your numbers are under a 2.1 you are ok. you should also check it again on channel 20 or 19.

I have a Marantz 6005 and what to hook up my bose 901 eq. but everywhere i have looked doesnt show me where to hook them up. Do u have an answer?

Get yourself a separate stereo amplifier for the 901's and drive it from the Front L/R Preamp Outs through the Active EQ . There is NO other way to use them in a multichannel rig.

If you don't have the wall space for proper employment of the rear reflections you can turn them around and experience true multimedia when explosions or rolling ocean wave sounds appear in movies. You will FEEL a breeze from them.

Search Fixya for the other 1000 times I have written on this.

Wiring help for realistic 5 band equalizer cat.no.12-1963 don't know year or model of unit it has no wiring label on it. has 3 gray wires, 3white wires,3 green wires, one black wire, one brown wire....

the 5 thinner cables goes to positive lead of each speaker from the radio (input to amp) the red one to battery. You will not use the negative led for the speakers from the radio. The remaining coarse ones goes to the speakers (each pair same color to a speaker) and the red one feed radio positive led. Black is ground.

I have the Nitro BMWX 483 4 channel amp, BMWX 484 2channel amp , and I have the Nitro BMWX 424 4 band EQ !! Now what I'm trying to do is hook up both amps together to the EQ ! So far, I hav the BMWX...

From what I have read about this EQ it is just for subsonic frequencies. You really don't want to run your components through this EQ. Leave the components running off of the 4 channel amp and your sub box on the two channel with the EQ in series between your head unit and the sub amp.

I need the connections for the EQ100 between my my receiver and CD player. thanks, bob

Most people don't put EQ directly attached in between a source and the receiver. THAT is what a TAPE loop is for. Then it can be inserted or bypassed by the flick of a switch.

If you MUST. OUTs go to INs.

CD OUT to Audio IN; Main OUT to Receiver (anywhere BUT Phono) IN.

Traditionally, the EQ would be in one the tape loops and the D (and all other sources) would be attached to your receiver and a tape Deck would be on one of the EQ's Tape Loops so you would have flexibility to use the EQ with ANY source; and before or after a Tape Deck.

Bear in mind that an AVR (digital multichannel receiver) will NOT pass any digital audio to or through an EQ and that activation of a Tape Loop on an AVR disables all digital sources.

I have a Pioneer VSX-D308 reciever and I have a EQ. How do I hook it up to this reciever?

I only know of one way to do this and here it is:

1. Plug your tape deck's output (cassette or R2R) into the EQ's "Line In".
2. Plug the EQ's "Line Out" into the Receiver's "Tape 1 Input".
3. Now plug the Receivers "Tape 1 Output" into the Tape Player's "Line In".
4. You have now made an "FX loop" for the Tape Deck. Now you just have to put the Tape Deck on "Tape Monitor".....put the Receiver on "FM"..... and turn on your favorite FM station and you will hear the FM Receiver THROUGH the tape deck's "Monitor Send" AND the EQ.............set EQ to taste....... and BINGO.......DONE!

Enjoy,

Sherwood 460 equalizer hook up

Connect the EQ to the Sherwood as if it were a tape deck: EQ's outs connect to receiver's tape ins (play) and EQ's ins connect to receiver's tape outs (record).
Then you hook the tape deck up to the tape ins and outs on the EQ: Tape deck outs connect to EQ's tape ins (play) and tape deck ins connect to EQ's tape outs (record).
This will put the EQ in your receiver's tape loop.
The CD player should be connected to the receiver though the CD in's and out's (or if your Sherwood doesn't have a CD in/out, then use AUX or TAPE2).
To hear the EQed signal with all receiver sources (like the CD player) you'll need to engage the 'Tape Monitor' button or switch which will route the tape loop to the speakers.
