Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot. If it reboots, open Control Panel, Power Options, Advanced power settings, Change Sleep and Hibernate to Never. Adjust the settings to your preference. Set the Screen Saver time. When your laptop is not in use shut it down and unplug, this will prolong life and a reboot everyday will reset your laptop.

Try starting it with just the adaptor or just the battery.
If the adaptor is broken it might not properly power-up, same goes for the battery. You'll need to exclude these two first.
If it starts with just the adaptor: dead battery.
If it starts with just the battery: defective adaptor (broken connections, insufficient power etc.)
In both cases you should probably call upon your warranty. That is, it that is still applicable.
If both situations don't work, let me know and we'll think further.

Try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 while the computer starts up.
If you can get it into safe mode perform a system restore.
If it won't boot into safe mode please post back.

YUP... sound like a motherboard problem. Could be a short somewhere. Try taking the Battery out and also the hard drive and put them back again. I have fixed such problems before by doing just that. GOOD LUCK !!

take battery out then get rid of dust then restart it if still doesn't start make sure adaptor works correctly, if problem is still there its a computer error/bug
