SOURCE: Control Panel

I believe the DRAIN/SPIN button on the Kenmore Elite HE3 will clear a locked control panel if you hold the button in for 3 seconds. This is actually a safety feature to keep small children from playing with the buttons and allows the consumer to lock the control panel. I hope that's all the problem you have and that it is not a control panel failure. Let me know if this helps. PS The matching Kenmore Elite Dryer uses the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for the same feature.

SOURCE: Kenmore washer will not drain

Your washer does not have a cap on the drain pump. You need to remove the large rubber inlet hose from the front of the drain pump in order to access the pump impeller. This model washer tends collect debris in the large inlet hose area, so check it as well.

NOTE: If you own a wet/dry shop vac it will come in very handy to drain any residual water inside the wash tub. There's about a gallon of water that can remain in the wash tub and drain hose lines (this is normal). If you pull the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on it with a shop vac, this will make clean up much easier. Otherwise, you will need some towels to lay down under the pump before you remove the inlet hose.

For an illustration of what I'm talking about, you can go to searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number. Look under the "Motor/Tub" heading for item 35 (drain pump) and item 41 (Inlet drain hose).

If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: kenmore 110.82891120 washer is old but recently in

First, see the Sears parts list for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.82891120&pathTaken=partSearch

Next, see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for top load, direct drive washers:

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

It does sound like a Temp control problem. The Service Manual has testing procedures to verify the problem.

Also see the following for how to access the components in the Console.

SOURCE: have an HE2 Elite Kenmore

It could be the central control unit (CCU) and one way to determine it is by disconnecting all components from the CCU except the control panel board. Disconnect power then remove the top panel to access CCU on the rear top of the cabinet and disconnect the components. Once done, plug in, select a cycle, then start the machine.

The CCU is indeed the culprit if the machine does the same thing. If not, then the culprit must be one of the disconnected components. Reconnect the components one at time then run the machine until you find the faulty component. Start with the door lock and switch assembly because it is the first thing being checked when a cycle is started then followed by the water inlet valve assembly and then so and so forth.

Indicate the complete and exact model number of the machine should you need further advice. You don't have to accept or reject and rate this post to add information or post comments and follow-up questions. But accepting a solution will not stop you from communicating with an expert. You may continue communicating with the expert as long as you need assistance regarding the issue stated herein.

My new omega washing mashine shows an E2 error code 5 miniutes into the wash how do I fix this?

Hello,

Manufactured by omega washing mashine have an electronic controlpanel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your washingcycle.
E2 indicates a water leak. When a leak occurs, it trips thefloat device by dumping water into the dishwasher's base. The incoming watervalve will be switched off, and the drain pump will turn on until the sump isempty
However, if an error light is blinking on your dishwasher'scontrol panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinkinglights on your washer control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needsto be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the controlpanel, contact Sears to service omega washing mashine or considertroubleshooting the appliance yourself carefully.Instructions
1 Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button onyour omega washing mashine for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher controlpanel.
2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash,""Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after theother, in fairly quick succession.
3 Wait for the washer to run a short diagnostic test.
4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the endof the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your omegawashing mashine. Thankfor using fixya.

I remove the rear panel from my kenmore elite top washer to gain access to the capacitor. While re-installing the panel, I have difficulty re-attaching the rear panel to the two brass-looking clips. ...

These clips don't really engage in the rear panel all by themselves without being held when clipped to the deck. If you have the panel ready to go back on, that is, if the bottom is all square and the panel is on right, then you slip the clip in one of the slots. Make sure the tab is going up on the outside of the panel. Press that tab against the back of the panel so it stays there and horizontal and move the panel forward until the clip is over the rectangular holes on the deck. Then press the clip down in the holes and it should lock. Then do the other side the same way. You can now put the control panel back on. Hope this helps.

Slow cold water fill kenmore top fill mashine

hi I had the Kenmore washing machine , and now have whirlpool, and have changed the valve on both.

you will need a screw gun or phillips scew driver a ratchet set with 1/4 and 5/16 sockets and a pair of channel locks.

turn off the water valves and unplugg the machine.
disconnect hoses from the wall and drain excess inton washer.
pull machine out and make sure you have enough room to work.

check to see if there are two screws under the control panel. if there are unscrew them anmove the control panel tosee if you have access to two clips that hold the control panel to the back of the machine.

if you remove the clips remember how they came out. then remove the screws and bolts from the back panel.

it is reccomended to change the hoses every year but no onew does that.but since you are working with the valve is would be a good idea.

once you get the rear panel off, the valve should be easy
good luck BRouth3bme
