the drain hose is indeed attached to the pump area... sounds like you may be on well water if it is breaking the hose down that bad... if not that is unusual to have hoses break down like that... its not hard to replace the hose as they just have hose clamps on them ,but yes you do have to tear apart unit to get down to drain pump assembly... some of the units have a front kick plate you can remove to get to them and some you actually go into from the rear... i didn't look this model up but we work on all appliances and normally there is a way to access the drain pump.... some units front loaders you can actually tilt up and the bottom plate will remove to gain access to it also... just going to have to look around and make access the easiest way for you... once your in though it is a simple task to replace hose...

You have a broken drain pump and needs to be replaced. The part number is 4681EA2001D. This is a big job requiring a special tool to remove the spring clamp on the door seal.
Good luck.

Washer won't drain

Have you removed the big draining tube from the back? On the back of the washer there should be 3 lines, two smaller ones and one larger one. The widest one is your drain line. It should be very easy to disconnect. Take it off and shine a flashlight where it connects and try to find any clogs. Check the line itself for any clogs and maybe run hot water through it to get it nice and clean. If you cant find anything its likely a motor may be burnt out for the spin cycle. This will most likely need to be replaced.

Water leaked out of the unit but not through the drain hose.

Sounds like 1 of the following:

  1. Clogged drain pump
  2. Clogged drain tube
  3. Clog in the plumbing where drain tube empties

The washer will not drain after the rinse cycle

Three main causes for water not draining are listed below:
  1. Clogged drain tube - exhaust or relief tube the hose empties into (does not apply if hose empties into a sink)
  2. Clogged drain hose - occasionally, debris from the wash will find it's way into the hose and clog, backing water up into the machine
  3. Clogged drain pump - like the drain hose, debris gets jammed into the pump. It may take a while for the pump to accumulate enough debris before it clogs. Disconnecting the hose under the washer will occasionally leave enough room to dig out any clogs in the pump. If not, the pump may need to be removed to clear the obstruction.

I have a washer that want let the water out of the bowl or tube whatever the thing is that holds the water

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome Keicia. First, unplug the washer for a few minutes then hook it back up and turn it on. Try messing with the timer switch to get it to drain. If this doesn't help, you need to check your drain hose and water pump. You will need to take off the outside panel to get inside the washer to look at them. They can get clogged and cause the washer to not drain properly. Make sure your filter is not clogged also. Sometimes the pump is ran by a belt. This belt can get worn or break. Check that also.

I have a Roper washing machine and it will not drain the water?

Most common causes for a machine that won't drain are:

  1. Clogged drain tube
  2. Clogged drain hose
  3. Clogged drain pump
To diagnose, remove the drain hose from the drain tube and look for water in the tube. A clog will force water back into the machine. If this is clear, some debris could have worked it's way into the drain hose itself. Check this by removing the hose and inspect for a blockage. If both are fine, the problem is most likely in the drain pump. Many times, a piece of paper left in a pocket will work it's way into the drain pump and get lodged.

Hi Kloynes,
It could be a problem of LEAKAGE.....Followings steps may help you tackle the problem:
Steps
  1. Check the hose under your fridge that drains condensation and such into a catch tray. Make sure the hose is draining properly.
  2. Blow air through the tube to make sure it is not clogged. A coat hanger wire can be inserted to break up clogs. An alternative method is to use a bicycle pump to force air through the drain hole to remove any obstruction. Vacuum dust bunnies from under the fridge to allow free flow of the air. Most refrigerators periodically blow warm air across the condensation tray. The warm air dries the condensation in the tray.

Tips
  • Clogs are usually caused when dust, moisture and micro-organisms get together in the drain tube. Keep the dust vacuumed from the back and bottom of the fridge. Make sure the drain tube is firmly connected at all points. The drain tube can be flushed with chlorine bleach, rubbing alcohol or other anti-bacterial product. Product selection should be consistent with the tubing material.

Warnings
  • Use caution with anti-bacterial products. Make sure that any such products cannot flow back into the food compartment.

Things You'll Need
  • Wire hanger
  • Anti-microbial agent such as chlorine bleach, rubbing alcohol or anti-bacterial soap.

Thanks

Clogged fridge drain tube

The drain is behind the back panel in the freezer at the bottom. Sounds like it is frozen over which is pretty common. Will need to remove panel and thaw out drain by running hot water down. You can use a putty knife to break up ice first. Make sure you get all ice around the drain above and below the thin aluminum tray at the bottom. After the drain is free don't be alarmed if you get some water on the floor because the drain pan may not hold all of the water you ran down the drain. Not anything you can do to prevent this on this model.
