Question about Haier Dishwashers

1 Answer

Haier esd301 diswasher will not complete a cycle

My Haier ESD301 diswasher will not complete a cycle. No matter what cycle I try to run, it fills with water then runs and washes through the first phase. Then it drains and refills. Then it clicks and lights go out. Then after a while is drains and that's it. I open the door and close it and then it will let me try again. I am very mechanically inclined, so if someone could point me in the right direction I would like to diagnose this problem and order the correct parts to fix it. Also, is there a service/repair manual for this product that I can get a copy of? Even an electronic PDF version would be fine. Thank you!

SOURCE: Haier dishwasher new ESD301 not all panel lights working

You probably have a faulty control panel. I've seen a few other problems on FixYa where the control panel didn't work at all. My very own ESD300 had corrosion inside the control panel near the ribbon cable that caused it to stop working. I'm not impressed with Haier's manufacturing controls. In my case it looked like something done to it in manufacturing either allowed water to get inside or caused abnormal deterioration.

Haier dishwasher did not pump out

I had problem like this...one day the washer stopped, still half-full of water. Then, we tried to run again and we could hear the little engine working but it wouldn't let water in OR out, just error beaps.
Then my boyfriend took off the back and gently tapped the water inlet valve solenoid with his screwdriver, and now it works! Starting FILLING actually, not draining, but completed a full cycle finally!
Must have shaken loose a blockage in the mechanics in that solenoid, probably have to replace before long. But for now, success!
Here is a website that helps: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/Haier/dishwasher/model-Esd301-repair/categories/dishwasher-repair/symptom/dish004.html
(See "REPLACE WATER INLET VALVE", half-way down page)

Brand new dishwasher will not drain at end of cycle.

Check your manual. Some dishwashers actually do leave water in them after the final drain cycle. It has to do with the type of seals they use. Some will leak the very first time they are used but not after that. The seals in these types must remain wet. If this isn''t the issue, wait about 5 minutes fir the timer to finish. Sometimes there is quite a lag at the last cycle. If all else fails, call the customer service number in the manual.
