Polaroid DVD player PDV0821T

Does anyone know exactly how to take this thing apart and put it back together ? I need to replace the outer shell on the bottom unit (not the screen) because a small plastic piece broke off and now the top disk cover won't close. Where can I get information about this model ?

I took the battery apart and I don't know how to put it back together. Is there a diagram or manual to solve this problem?

Download either the user manual or service manual to this set. It will have all details.

My Phillips DVD 3050V/75 will not eject a DVD - its very low use so can't be worn out. Is there a stick something in to manually eject the DVD trick?

You will need to remove the top cover of this DVD player to remove the disc from the Drive tray. Always unplug the unit before servicing. Be careful to not touch the sensitive electronics. Remove the disc and put the unit back together exactly how you took it apart. There should only be a few screws on the back and sides of unit, holding the case of the unit to the frame and front cover.

Lost tv controller

Buy a universal remote and find out the make and model of the TV. You know it's a Hannah Montana TV, but what company makes the TV? Polaroid? JVC? Specialty TVs are usually made after an existing model, just with all the insides put inside of a special outer case.

Radio Shack has all sorts of power bricks and universal adapters you can probably put something together from what they offer.

Initial screen shows "OPEN" in the top right corner

I had this exact same problem with my Protron DVD player. It was driving me crazy. I was about to just trash it, cause I was so tired of dealing with it. Then I decided maybe I should open it up and see what the issue is. I am not sure what exactly I did that fixed it, so I will just tell you everything I did. It works great now!! It's as if I know what I'm doing... but I was just playing really.

Here's what I did:
I unplugged it, took off the battery pack, turned it over and unscrewed the four screws holding it all together (one of the screws is located under a sticker that warns about voiding the warranty). Then I turned it back over, lifted the screen back and pulled apart the top from the bottom. It did kinda sound like something might crack as I pulled it apart, but it didn't. I just moved slowly and eventually got the entire thing separated, even the plastic around the hinge area will pop off, leaving just a couple cables connecting the top to the bottom. Again... I am not sure what I did that fixed it. But I found the button that would be located under the right small hinge of the DVD door that tells it if the door is open or closed. I pushed it a few times, thinking at first that something might be missing or broken that should make it work. I blew it out (just because it was opened up and I thought it couldn't hurt). I did notice a small white plastic piece near the back that fell when I had pulled open the entire thing. I thought it had to do with dvd door, but then realized it was the control that told the player if the lid was up or down. It had a wide side and a skinny side, with a flat piece in between. The skinny side actually sticks through the top section I had just removed. It shouldn't have had anything to do with the other problem, and it could have been in place just fine before I opened it up. I did put it back through the hole, using a piece of tape to keep it there while I assembled the entire thing back together. And then I was excited. I fixed it. I'm not sure how, but at least I don't need to buy another one. I don't know if it was me blowing it out, replacing that plastic piece, or playing with the dvd door open button. I would think it is the latter. (when it all apart there are two little black buttons near the back. one is just right of center, and the other is another inch or so to the right of that. the first is the dvd door open button, the furthest right is the one that lines up with the white plastic piece and the hole for lid open or closed).

That is probably really confusing. Sorry. I just explained as best I could. Let me know if further explanation is needed.
