Not a solution, just want to echo the problem. There are solutions for the shaft, but when I opened this up I found a stripped nylon gear attached to the shaft. Kinda sucks: I recently replaced the nylon worm gear in the mixer, now I have to do the same in the spaghetti cutter. I can't find the part or any mention of it anywhere.

SOURCE: The first time I used

First Question that comes to mind, is the motor even running. If it is and there is nothing visible moving, you probably stripped the gears in the head of the unit. If the motor doesn't run, the brushes may have coincidendally worn out. Need more information. Reccomend taking the top cover off while it is unplugged and checking the gears and brushes. The Plastic gear (When I got mine) was a bit pricey, but a lot cheaper than a new mixer. If you wore out the brushes, You may just want to consider a new machine since you evidently got a lot of use out of it. Almost everything is replaceable in the mixer

KitchenAid doesn't sell any internal parts for the KitchenAid pasta attachments, the only thing to do is buy a replacement, if it is just the pasta roller you can purchase the KPSA, if not the others are just sold in the KPRA pack

Can't adjust roller settings

You probably have a slipped gear. It happens quite often on that machine. A machinist or, believe it or not, a mechanic can probably fix it and save you replacing it.

The knob on my kitchen aid pasta roller keeps getting stuck and i cant change the setting i need to be at

It needs either oil or the gear has slipped. A machine repair person, such as a sewing machine repair might be able to help you out for a small fee. Good Luck!

All of the KitchenAid pasta attachments are considered non-serviceable. There are not any parts available. You only option would be to buy a new pasta roller. KitchenAid has recently made the roller available by itself so you do not have to purchase it in a whole pack.

We carry the pasta roller, here is a link to the item on our website:http://www.mendingshed.com/kpsa.html

The first time I used my new pasta roller I seem to have burned up something in my Kitchenaid mixer. What happened?
