Question about Refrigerators
I've checked what I can but can't seem to figure it out
Unfortunately it sounds like your compressor is on its way out. In some cases you can get what's called a "hard start kit" or a "3-1" (same thing) to help force it to run, that does sometimes get you more life out of the compressor. MY GUTT FEELING: The reason it is warm is because it is trying to run but can't, do to a broken winding inside the motor or a piston or valve is jammed or bent. The reason forcing it works sometimes is because it actually breaks pieces off when it is forced so hard. The divit or scratch left behind may continue to break down over time resulting in blockage and seezing, or it may just break a small piece loose and run for years. It is a gamble though. Good luck with it

SOURCE: not cooling
The clicking you are hearing is your overload on your start system sounds like your compresser start ststem is out..or your compresser is locked up the only way to tell is to ohm out the compresser idf you dont have a meter you can install a start kit like a Supco Pro41 or a RCO410 or a factory replacement and see if it starts up the compresser.. Have you cleaned the condenser at all ??? although this will not fix the compresser it can be a cause of overheating..The part Number you need is a 2188831 for the factory replacemenet ($22.56)the supco parts part number SU RCO410 ($15.00) the Pro41 is part #
SU PRO41 ($17.97) you can get them at your local parts house they are all easy to change or if you dont have a parts house close you can oder it on the web at www.apdepot.com Hope this fixes ya

SOURCE: Kitchenaid Superba compressor
The compressor relay is located on the compressor under a cover. Before you go to the compressor I would check for other problems that you can see and hear. If the compressor is running there is nothing wrong with its relay.
1. Check the condenser and make sure it is clear and free of dust.
2. If the compressor is cool or cold check for a bad temperature control.
3. Check the freezer compartment for frost on back wall.
