Question about Sanyo Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 32" Snyo TV serial #DP32642 and my Emerson VCR that records on tape cassets. I can not get the VCR to display on the TV screen. I do not have a cable that will fit any connections I find.

How do I get the old VCR that records on tape cassetts to display on the TV screen. I receive my TV stations on a roof top antenna.

The Emerson VCR has output connections for left (W?) and right (R?)audio and video (Y?). Your Sanyo TV may have inputs for the same in which case you would make the appropriate connections. Some operation of your Sanyo remote has to be found that will allow your videotapes to be seen on the screen

SOURCE: New TV won't ''talk to'' old VCR

using the magnovox remote, reprogram the vcr's channels. set it up to use cable not air. when the vcr was unlugged it lost it's channel memory. don't buy new cables, you're getting a picture and sound so that means your rca cables are ok.

We recently connected to Direct TV...I want to transfer some old western TV Shows I recorded on my Direct TV DVR Recorder to VCR Tape. I was told by the people at Direct TV that I would need to contact you...

You can try this: Connect your DirecTv to VCR with Red/White/Yellow cables. Then the VCR to your TV with the same type of cables. Make sure the VCR is set to the video input, not the tuner. Turn your TV to the correct video input. Get the program ready on the DVR as if you were going to watch it. Press record on the VCR and then play on the DVR. At the end of the program, press stop on both. You may have a problem with the video recording properly. Some stations broadcast with copyright protection.

You need to route the signal from the cable modulator to the DVR and then to the TV to be able to view and record. If this is done you will be able to watch what you are recording. When you are not recording, the signal will go through the DVR to the TV.
Please change the cabling and you should have what you want.

VCR not working for some cassettes

What do you mean by "not able to play my VCR with some cassettes. " Is it that some tapes do not display images? No Video? From your name it seems that you are from India, Assuming that to be so, I also presume that you must be possesing a Multi-System VCR, to play back PAL Tapes from India, and NTSC tapes from the US. And if that is the case, I guess it is a simple problem of resetting the System standards. Please go to the Main menu of your VCR using the Remote, and select AUTO in System (You will be given choices of AUTO, PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43 and NTSC PB PAL. Likewise, it is entirely possible that your Television SYSTEm Standard has been accidentally changed. If it is Multi System TV, Then, again, using the Remote of the TV, select Menu, and then select AUTO in System. In all likelihood your problem should get solved.
