Question about De Dietrich 24 in. DVI300X Built-In Dishwasher
For a while now we have had a lot of water left in the bottom of the dishwasher when we come to empty it. We have got into the habit of pressing start for another cycle, and then switching it off after about 10secs, and this empties the water left in the machine. I guess this means that the pump is working and that there are no blockages in the drain pipe. Is there some other fault I should be checking for, is it maybe not getting to the end of the cycle for some reason? Many thanks Dave

SOURCE: Leak from a De Dietrich
Pull the built in unit out and tilt towards the rear right leg and the water will drain on to the floor. The Dishwasher then restarts but the anti flood sensor will reactivate after 2-3 more washes. Do not know final fix yet.

If its not the drain hose, you might need a valve or if you have a new garbage disposal you need to punch out a peice of the plastic or it wont drain. Hope this helped, good luck

Suggest you check the water pressure out the pipe, then clean the inner sieve which is usually in the valve inlet. if all is clean and still little water enters, i would replace valve. Also, chech the pressure switch line an make sure it is not partially filled with water.

Yes, lots of ideas. You need to disconnect the water line where it attaches to the dishwasher valve and see if water is flowing. If it flows, then you either have a clogged inlet valve (there is a screen inside the valve that catches debri from the water line) that could of happen from a disturbance of the water service orthe valve is old and lost its ability to open upon signalling, or the timer is not sending the signal to open the valve, or the water level (float) switch is stuck and not allowing the signal to get to the valve.
