I do not see my model listed, but my problems likely apply to the 9500 as well. We had our washer delivered a couple days ago. For some reason, the stacker unit was not on the truck, so our dryer is not yet stacked on top, but I hate to think what will happen when it is because the washer shakes like crazy. It's rocking and rolling like we're in an earthquake, but the other problem happened when I filled the dispenser. I know the liquid HE goes in the left side of the dispenser. But when I poured it in, it leaked out the bottom, down around the door and out the bottom of the washer.
This washer sits on a 15 1/2-inch pedestal, which provides storage underneath. The detergent dripped under the door at the bottom and down the pedestal. I wiped up the mess and threw the rag in with the towels, so at least I know there was some kind of soap in the washer. This is the only load I have washed because I'm afraid to try it again.
One thing, I did have the door of the washer open when I opened the dispenser to add the detergent. Does it matter if the door is opened? Is that what could have caused the soap to leak out of the dispenser? If that's the problem, then my problem is solved, and I will do another load filling only the dispenser after the door is closed. But there is nothing in the troubleshooting guide that addresses this problem.
I assume the shaking might be caused because the Whirlpool delivery guys just dumped the washer on top of the pedestal and likely didn't level anything. When and if my stacker unit ever arrives, I will ask them to address when they put the dryer over the washer. But in the meanwhile, I would really like to do more laundry. Why is my dispenser leaking?
Well, if I don't pull out the dispenser all the way, how would I ever add bleach? Because bleach goes in the farthest back cup. I'm thinking it might just be leaking, but I guess I will find out when I do another load tomorrow.
The Whirlpool delivery guys did not tighten my hose connection enough, either, because the drain hose is leaking, too. They were pretty much worthless, but they will be back to stack the units when the stacker package arrives. I will make sure to point out all these problems. But if the machine is defective, it's not easy to return it. I bought it through American Home Shield Home Warranty Plan when I upgraded the replacement W&D they were paying to replace.
My drain hose connection is not to code. I understand the drain hose is supposed to sit inside the drain pipe. The way my previous washer was hooked up, the drain hose was clamped over the drain pipe, which sticks out of the wall perpendicular to it. Even so, my previous connection did not leak at the hose, and neither should this. I'd write to Whirlpool to complain about their service, but after reading this forum, it appears Whirlpool could give a flying fig.Well, if I don't pull out the dispenser all the way, how would I ever add bleach? Ok try not to pull the dispenser too far out. When you pour the liquid detergent in the dispenser I belive it should say in the cup. For the shaking if the washer is not on a solid surface like a cement floor it will shake and walk if the floor is weak. Also make sure the delivery guys removed the 4 shipping bolts in the back. If the dispensor still leaks call for service bucause its new. Also some stores will exchange it if there is a problem within 30 days.

there are three screws under the front of the panel. make sure its not leaking from the door and running that way. if the bellow or door seal is damaged or bent or torn it will leak. please dont forget to rate me thanks
Remove the soap dispenser and clean it throughly, next check the tube from dispenser to the tub to be sure it is clear of blockage. Run the washer with hot water to clear any residual buildup that may be left in it.
You could have a clog in the housing underneath the dispenser where the water flows through a hose into the tub. Pull the dispenser drawer completely out. There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer and remove it. Check the opening at the bottom of the housing just inside the dispenser housing opening to see if a small sock or garment is clogging this opening. Reach down into this opening to see if an item is inside the hose. This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.
Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Replace the dispenser drawer and try the washer again.
