Belt stops running although you can hear motor running. How do you replace front roller pulley?

Loosen off the rear roller adjustment bolts, 10 turns each side counterclockwise.
Remove the motor drive belt.
The front roller should now be removable. If you have difficulties, back off the rear roller adjustment bolts 3-4 turns further. Keep track of how many counterclockwise turns so you are able to readjust the belt after replacing the front roller pulley assembly.
Repeat the instructions in reverse once the front roller is in position.

When printing on my oki c5100 text or image - it prints fine but with a smudge/ghost of the image or text also on the paper. I know I need to order new toner - could this be why?

Open you printer and pull out the fuser assembly and look if the upper roller is fine because if it`s damaged it could lead to the double image.

X215 paper pickup roller needs to be replaced

My experience is paper pickup rubber is old, shrunk and dried out. You can replace the entire roller assembly (including shaft) or the roller only or just the rubber, sponge tire on the roller.

The pickup roller with its square shaft and bearings are removed as an assembly. Remove

1) Cartridge

2) Paper Tray

3) Rear Cover
Four M3x10mm bright washerhead threading screws. Two of them are very low down in deep wells.
Carefully tug the cover rearward to remove it.
Note the parallel printer connector's bails when reinstalling this cover.

4) Right Side Cover (Optional)
Carefully tug the cover forcefully rearward to remove it.

5) Left Side Cover
Disconnect the speaker.
Gently tug the cover forcefully rearward to remove it.

6) Drivetrain Assembly
Mark the green ground wire location at one of the center screw.
Six M3x10mm bright washerhead threading screws.
One cable connection.

7) Gear Support Plate at Front Left
Three M3x10mm bright washerhead threading screws.

8) Electronics Pan
Two M3x10mm bright washerhead threading screws at the rear. NOTE the black ground wire at the left side screw.
Ten M3x10mm bright washerhead threading screws from underneath. NOTE that two of the screws are accessed through 10mm diameter holes in the pan.
Note the cable connections do not have to be disconnected and the electronics pan does not have to be completely removed.

9) Pickup Clutch
Pull it straight off. NOTE that it's indexed to only go on, one way. Note the other gears and their position (take a picture!)

10) Pickup Roller Assembly (w/Shaft)
One side bearing has a claw. Release the claw and the bearing can be slid toward the pickup roller, enabling removal of the entire pickup roller assembly.
Carefully remove the just old roller tire (or carefully just cut the old one lengthwise and discard). If you are careful, you can remove the entire pickup wheel by unlatching the small fasteners and removing the whole wheel, remove the old tire, reinstall a new tire and reassemble the entire assembly.

Our OKI C5100 is showing 171:Fatal error. What should we do?

The 171 Fatal error:

Upper Thermistor, State:Open

When an open circuit has been detected in the heat roller thermistor (low temperature)

Check the heater connector and the thermistor connector to make sure they are seated properly. If OK you probably need to replace the fuser.

Hope this helps.
