Try pushing / stop reset first. The setting the time by pushing clock button .... punch in the time and push the clock button again. Just respond here if that does not work. 88-8888 is what you get after your first plug it in. Sometimes you will get PF if you unplug it and plug it back in. If that appears push stop / reset / clear. (Same button)
It sounds like you may have accidentally set the child safety lock. Some ovens have this feature as a safety device to prevent children from manipulating the controls. If the model number you have this listed under is correct, all you have to do is press and hold the ENTER/START button for 4 seconds and the lock will clear. If the model number is not correct, post back with your correct information, or refer to your owner's manual under the "Operating Instructions" section.

Q - My microwave seems to shut off every once in a while, what might be wrong? A - Make sure you hear the fan is still operating in your microwave. Next is to make sure the air intake grill on your microwave is not plugged up with air borne dust and dirt. Q - The fan in my microwave oven is not running will this hurt my microwave? A - YES, the fan cools the magnetron and electronics, take the microwave in for service, most fans are not too expensive to replace. Q - My microwave blows the fuse inside itself as soon as I push the start button. A - Usually a shorted high voltage capacitor...see components section.
Unplug the Microwave and remove the outer cabinet. Inside the cabinet will be a thermal insulated fuse, looks like the old buss fuses for early model cars but white. Replace that with the correct fuse which can be found at Lowes or Home depot and see if that solves the problem. Be careful not to touch any capacitors if they are in there.
