TROJAN RUN X drive belt motor will not switch on ?

The whole unit powers uo perfectly, but on pushing "START" the 5 sec countdown completes and the unit powers off ? The 3,5 HP DC motor does not engage at all I alternatively get the L5 or E4 ERROR CODE ?? WITH A MULTIMETER on the DC MOTOR input leads I get a reading of 10 - 16 V DC ? (which would indicate it is in communication with the upper control panel ? PCB ? But when the START BUTTON is pressed the voltage drops to ZERO and the drive motor does not move at all Incline feature etc still work The magnetic speed sensor on the drive wheel is clean, dry and correctly positioned as is the pickup track on the pulley This has happened suddenly, previously the motor was a bit sluggish to start sometimes but functioned correctly at varying speeds onceb it started ? In am presuming I have a switching or electrical contact problem somewhere between the 220 V AC POWER supply and the 220 VAC - 229 V DC Transformer that is preventing the DC POWER reaching the main drive motor ? (and presuming the 220 DC motor is working OK, it spins quite freely by hand Can anyone point me in the right direction or have had this problem before , I am semi hemiparesis (left side paralysed after a series of strokes and I urgently need to get this working for my rehab. I will probably have to supervise this as I have very limited mobilty and am unable to get down on my knees etc Any all suggestions much appreciated Is there a site where I can download an instruction manual for this machine Thanks John H my email yachtshelaa@ yahoo.co.uk

SOURCE: Proform 730i powers on but will not move when I input speed.

I have the same treadmill with the same problem statement. Here is how I fixed it:....Open the lower shroud that covers the motor. You must remove 4 or 5 screws. Taped to the inside of the shroud should be a document with a calibration procedure on one side and electrical specifications on the other. It will tell you how to run the calibrations. You need to hold the stop button and the + speed button as you insert the safety key. This will put you into calibration mode. My treadmill started working again after I ran the incline calibration routine. Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "I cannot find my manual on the site :-( I have the original manual but this type of information is not displayed. I am not sure how to adjust the 'elevation motor' ? I still cannot see the magnet/reed switch on either the motor pulley or the front roller - are you sure all treadmills have these and might it not be built into the actual motor? The link to your "personal tips" does not take me to the correct page?"

Electric dryer no start does nothing

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage.

CHECK THERMAL SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BLOWER. for OHMS or resistance with a meter. Should show a closed circuit. Ohms WHEN THIS FUSE BLOWS IT WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.

NEXT Test the PUSH start switch with meter for OHMS. Should show OHMS when pushed in or on start, and no ohms or infinity when in off position.

If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor.
Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay/capacitor on motor.
Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings

Another thing to check is the belt safety switch. With a multi meter.
Especially if u just replaced the belt. The belt safety switch is attached to the Tensioner and motor. IT LOOKS LIKE A DOOR SWITCH SOMEWHAT a little black pc of plastic with 2 prongs going into it. Sits at bottom of motor. Under the Tensioner. Attach meter clips to the 2 prongs on switch, Then when the little white push button is pressed in it should show continuity and none when released.

Lastly check ur DOOR SWITCH for continuity with a meter when the button is pushed in the (on/Door closed position,) it may have gone bad.

We have a fan 60 minute push button timer we purchased and installed with a 3-wire system. WE need to purchase another one but they all have 4 wires now. Where can we purchase a 3-wire one.

It sounds like you have mechanical push-button type timer.
I need more information to avoid guessing which timer is best for your situation.

I'm not sure what a 3-wire system is?
Add a comment
1) How many switches control same fan
2) What color wires inside box.

Is this
3) low-horsepower bathroom fan?
4) other fan, for example: higher horsepower attic fan, 3/4 horsepower industrial kitchen fan, or 1-horsepower whole house fan?
5) Is this your home or is fan for continual commercial use?

6) Is this a countdown timer that turns fan OFF automatically after 60 minutes?
7) Or what kind of timer are you looking for.

Open following link for list of home-use countdown timers and horsepower ratings of countdown timers.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Countdown-timer-horsepower-ratings.html

Spring-wound timers do not require extra Neutral wire, and can control 1 HP whole-house fan.
The push-button timers each require Neutral wire to run electronics inside timer, and they range from 1/6 HP to 3/4 HP which will work for any bathroom fan.

Wiring. # 2 is neutral # 3 is hot in. # 1 will be hot out when 6&7close

http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Dayton-Off-Delay-Timer.html

You are correct.
#3 is Neutral from breaker
#2 is 120Volt Hot from breaker
#1 is Black wire to load
#6 and #7 are activated with a push button

When activation takes place, the timer turns on power to the load
The timer begins a countdown
The load cannot exceed 1 amp
Power to the load remains ON until the timer countdown is finished

If you have ordinary switch instead of a push button, then you turn on the switch, and timer countdown begins after you turn the switch off.

The standard warranty on appliances is two years, contact Whirpool at (866) 698-2538 to check warranty status.

Regarding the motor, the motor is tested by energizing it directly, and reading volts from MCU (motor control unit) or timer control board.

Here diagrams and parts for your model.

Call Whirpool first.

Whirlpool dryer WED5530SQ0, heats but does not run

So,. basically your drum doesnt turn. SO your getting heat still even though the drum isnt turning. Is this right? Sounds strange??? Do you hear any humming noise when you push the start button? I need to know a little more about the problem because im kinda confused as how you decribed the problem. Iv never seen a dryer heat but the drum not spinning. especially your model dryer. Its electric heat right? because if the drum doesnt spin, maybe your motor is bad. and if your motor is bad, then your heating element wont heat up because the centrifical switch in the motor is not switching to complete the circuit to the heating element. So this is why im confused when you said" Dryer heats when knob turned but when "push button" pressed, drum doesnt run." Because your belt wraps around the motor pully and the motor is what makes the drum turn. Like i said, i never seen this model dryer heat with out the motor operating. So if you can give me some more info, ill do my best to help you out....Thanks!!!!

First you do is to unplug the cord of your DVD unit for 5 hours in order to drain the stored current,the purpose is to reset the unit. After the 5 hours plug the DVD see to it if it open If not,just try to press down on the stop button and pressing eject button at same time and it will unlock the tray .Then the other option is to open the cover of the DVD unit and unplug the unit again to avoid electric shock . When open already look for the disc platter moved it outward while driving the gear or simply push out. The drawer or door of the DVD player and you will see a small circular disc which is often called turntable or disc platter.When the disc platter is out push it back and push it out you do this three times so the slider mechanism align it properly.If you do already what i said then plug it again and if works already closed the cover. The slider mechanism, depending on the age of the unit and the manufacturer, consists of the small chrome rail, a drive motor, a small gear assembly, and (in some units) a small belt that drives the slider unit via the motor. This small belt causes all sorts of problems. If the belt is broken or slipping, it can cause skipping, dropouts, or simply no start up at all. Also, if the belt breaks in the middle of the disc, the drive mechanism gets hair or dirt wrapped up into the gears, or the pick-up assembly doesn?t return to the start position (called home), the unit will (99% of the time) refuse to release the disc, causing it to become stuck inside the unit. There?s a little micro or leaf type switch located at home position that sometimes gets dirty or breaks and, causing this problem also. Hope it may help you;

Won't run

If "won't run" meaning; "does not tumble/spin" this can be a couple things;

1. Defective Drive Belt (Likely): Broken or jammed (not properly attached to motor/pulley). Nothing will happen when pressing start; unit will not heat or rotate/tumble. "Normal ware and tear"

2. Defective Door Switch (Very likely) - Very common due to constant "slamming" of door. The door switch enables power to be passed through-out machine when door closes for safety purposes. Switch located at door area and can be tested for continuity. "Nothing will happen when pressing start; unit will not heat or tumble/turn". * Fairly easy to replace; two mounting screws.

3. Defective/Jammed Motor (Rare, but possible): You may hear a "humming noise" and burning smell. Also, excessive lint in blower housing may jam the motor from rotating. "Does not come on; does not tumble/turn"

Remember to disconnect power from unit before servicing.
