Lexmark pinnacle pro901 will not copy or scan

WhenI try to copy nothing happens. The light bar goes to the top of the page and then just sits there.

Fax on Lexmark 901 pro not feeding


Does it also jam when you're just copying or scanning? Try to check if the scanner is closed all the way down. The cover needs to be closed all the way down for the paper to flow properly from the ADF to the exit tray.

Lexmark Pro901 When scanning from document feed the machine seems to scan only a part of the page whilst cutting out the information at the bottom of the page.


Make sure to set the correct paper size when scanning from the ADF. If you're scanning a legal size document, set the paper size to legal.

If it doesn't work, try to reset the printer back to its factory settings:

1 From the home screen, touch Setup (wrench icon), and then touch Use Factory Defaults.
2 Touch Yes.
3 When prompted to set the initial settings of your printer, make your selections using the touch screen.

The top left "hinge" won't seat, therefore the top feed can't be used to fax, scan or copy.


It's possible that the hinge of the scanner cover broke. If that's the case, you won't be able to scan from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder). If the printer is still under warranty, please call our technical support team to have the printer replaced.

This could be a driver issue. Please update your printer driver. Visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

If the problem happens when the printer goes on sleep mode, make sure that your printer firmware is updated. Visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Pro900 Series Firmware Update.

My lexmark pinnacle pro 901 keeps resetting it self or rebooting itself. Anybody have a solution?


Try to rebrick your printer. Pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
Also, make sure your printer is updated. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901 Firmware Update.
If the problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

I can get the Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901 to scan a single page using the sheet feeder but it will not scan multiple pages. The first page completes successfully with a a 'Scanning Canceled' message....
