Select the folder, right click and then click on "Compress [folder name]". The .zip folder will be located just below the original folder.

How to open .zip file downloaded to usb flash drive

Very easy. Create a folder on the device you want to download to. If its a computer, create one on your screen, (desktop)if not great it where you want to.If its not a self unzipping file you will need to use an app that comes with your PC or APPLE plug in the USB, make sure windows recognizes it. Then go to "my computer", left click on the USB holding it down constantly. Drag it over to the folder you created on your desktop and release it. Next double click the folder to open it up. Click on the USB file to unzip. If it asks you were, use current folder. It will unzip as of it to that folder.

How to Make Invisible Password Protected Folder Submitted by Srikanth on...

How to Make Invisible Password Protected Folder2761870.jpg Submitted by Srikanth on Thursday, 10 December 200930 Comments Do you want to password protect your folder? Do you want to make it invisible so that it remains unnoticed by the normal users? Well here is a way to do that. In this post I will show you how to make a password protected folder in Windows without using any additional software. Here is is step by step procedure to create a password protected folder.

How to create a Password Protected Folder
Step-1: Create a new folder (Right-click -> New -> Folder) and give it any name of your choice. For instance I name it as ABC.
Step-2: Now in this folder place all the important files, documents or any folders that you want to password protect.
Step-3: Now Right-click on this folder (ABC) and select the option Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Step-4: Now a new compressed zipped folder gets created next this folder (ABC) with the same name.
Step-5: Double-click on this compressed zipped folder and you should see your original folder (ABC) here.
Step-6: Now goto the File menu and select the option Add a password.
ie: File -> Add a password
Now a small window will pop up and here you can set your desired password. Once the password is set, the folder will ask for the password every time it is opened. Thus you have now created the password protected folder.

How to make it Invisible
Step-1: Now Right-click on this password protected folder and select Properties.
Step-2: At the bottom select the option Hidden and press OK. Now your folder gets invisible (hidden).
Step-3: In order to unhide this folder go to My Computer – >Tools -> Folder options. Switch to View tab, scroll down and under Hidden files and folders you’ll see the following two options
  • Do not show hidden files and folders
  • Show hidden files and folders
Now select the second option and press OK. Now the invisible folder becomes visible in it’s location. To access it you need the password. To make it invisible again repeat step -1 through step-3 and select the first option and click OK. Now the folder becomes invisible once again.
I hope you like this post. Pass your comments!! Cheers

On Microsoft Windows XP Professional I'm Trying To Make A Compressed Zipped Folder I Right Clicked A File Clicked Send To And Clicked Compressed Zipped Folder And It Just Made A Win RAR Zip File

Win RAR *is* a compressed Zip file. The folder itself can't be compressed only the contents. So, just create a folder using any name you want to use such as *my rar zip* and drag the compressed winrar file into it.

I creted a folder and put private things in the folder and i want to try and crete a password to the folder so that im the only 1 that can get in the folder

Hey, I'm going to assume you are running Windows, so let me provide an easier solution rather than creating a password for a folder.

Instead, you can create a ZIP file which contains all the "private things" you want to store, then put a password on the zip file.

- Download WinZIP: http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm
- Install it by double-clicking on the file you downloaded
- Next, select all the private things you want to protect, right click on them and select "Add to Winzip".
- On the dialogue that will appear, you can add a password to your zip file, and then hit create.

That's it!

The file you created is called a "zip" file, and it contains all the private files you want to store. You can drag any new file you want to add on your zip file, and it will be added inside it (after you type your password). You can also take your zip file with you wherever you want!

It's a much easier solution that creating a password for a folder.

7zip can also do this, and it's completely free, but a bit harder to use: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Can someone tell me the steps to send a group of pictures as an attachment to an e-mail. I'm not good at the computer. Any help would be appreciated.

The exact steps may vary slightly based on what program or website you are using as your email provider, however, I will try to give you a general idea:

If you are going to send a lot of pictures at once, you might want to create a .zip file by putting them all in one folder, then right-clicking on that folder and clicking "Send to>>Compressed (zipped) folder". This will create a new, single file that has all of the images in it. This will make it easier to send.

Open your email and create a new message. Click the attachment button. Click browse, then select the zipped file on your computer (it will be wherever you created it, Desktop, My Documents, etc.). Click Add to email. Once you see the zipped file showing under attachments on your email, you are ready to send the email.

How to download mercury P4VM800M7 motherboard driver ?

Really not sure what you are asking but I assume you know what file you need and where to get it.You'll need to create a temp folder and download load it to the folder. Most likely you will download it as a zip file (ie xxxx.zip).You then need the pkunzip program. You can get it at pkunzip or free at tucows looking for a pkunzip.Install it on your computer and unzip the driver to the folder or another folder you created(temp). You then run the exe file or whatever message you get (asking for the driver).Hope this helps

I HAVE ONE IRC 3200 AND I DONT KNOW WHAT DRIVER INSTALL FOR SCAN AND PRINT, I HAVE WIN XP

Go to http://www.usa.canon.com
Select Downloads
Select Office/Production
On next page from the dropdown select Office/Production products again
Next page Select Networked Office Systems/Copiers
Next Page select Color ImageRunner Series
Next Page Select Color ImageRunner Series
From List select Color Image Runner Irc-3200

From the choices select the driver needed. PCL or PS (postscript)
Select either Setup or INF.
If Setup or INF file. Download the zipped file. Create a folder on desktop or downloads. Call it Canon Copier or whatever. Download the zipped file to this folder. Go to the folder you downloaded the zipped file to and double click on the file. When Win-Zip started and asks where you want the file un-zipped to enter a period (.) this will unzip the file to the folder you created.

Once the file is un-zipped if you downloaded the setup file run setup exe.
At somepoint in the setup process you will be asked which port you want to use. You will need the IP Address of the copier ( which can be obtained by pressing the additional Functions key on the copier, selecting report settings, selecting Network and print report. If the IP address needs to changed select additional functions again, Select System settings Key, Network settings key, TCP/IP settings, Check or Set IP Address here or select DHCP to get new address. Repower the copier if any changes are made.

At the which port to use select New Port, select Standard TCP/IP port and create new port. Enter IP address in the new port window.

If using INF file after INF is unzipped. Go to Printers folder and select create New Printer. Follow Printer Wizard. Create New Standard TCP/IP port. When the Wizard Asks for Driver, select have Disk and browse to the folder you created and click the unzipped file and continue clicking until the file installs.

Themes iphone 3gs ?

If you are creating a theme – Create a folder somewhere on your computer that is the title of the theme you would like to add (ex…Chalkwork) then inside of the Chalkwork folder create another folder called Icons (with a capital “I”). Inside the Icons folder put all of the icon images that you would like to have. They must be named the same as the Title of the app, starting with a capital (Ex…Calendar.png, WinterBoard.png, AppStore.pgn, Stocks.png….). You can also add a Dock and Wallpaper to the Chalkwork folder, they also need to be capitalized (do not put them in the Icons folder…just in the main Chalkwork folder). Once you have a folder of the theme with a folder of icons inside it you just drag the whole folder, Chalkwork, into the Library/Themes folder on your iPhone or iPod Touch via WinSCP and hit Copy. Once it is done transferring you can go on your iPhone into WinterBoard and select the theme you just added. Note: your iPhone has to be on for the file to transfer!
If you are downloading a theme that is in a zip file – you will have to open the zip file and then create a folder on your computer that is the same name as the theme you are trying to download. Then copy the Icons folder from the zip file into the folder you created on your computer. This unzips the file so that you can add it to WinterBoard through WinSCP. You can also copy the wallpaper and dock out of the zip file into the file you created if you would like them too. If you are looking for some themes to download, check out our Downloadable Themes page.

Dimage 5400 on an Imac

Try deleting a file called MFSLibInit which the scanner sometimes seems to erroneously create when you launch the software. The file will appear in the dimage folder (you'll find that folder in the preferences folder within the library folder). Then re-launch. This solved the problem on my powerbook but I now have a new MacBook pro and am having the same problem and this is not solving it. Good luck.
