Question about Computers & Internet
I need to put a more recently produced mainboard on my HP Pavilion dv9016ea because this mainboard has a "burnout" accident ... I wonder what choises do i have ? Can i replace - upgrade the motherboard with another one , different model or from another brand for example: apple , asus , compaq ... etc ? It needs to fit in the case after all ... Please help me mod my laptop ...
Usually in a laptop you can't just throw any motherboard in. Usually it has to be the same make and model. Sometime the boards can be interchangeable with in model families. However, I wouldn't bet on it.

by doesn't fit, do you mean gives you a microsoft verification error, such as "this driver is not verified by Microsoft."?
If that is the case, let it install anyhow. HP knows better than Microsoft whether the drivers will work.
