They eventually wear out. But if you try to replace parts, it will not fix the ongoing problem. You really need to change it to coil suspension. The problem with air ride is the bags will eventually go bad and it cost more to replace them than air bags in the steering wheel. I was lucky. My Expedition had already been changed over
The compressor should only run until the rear suspension reaches the desired height. If it continues to run after the suspension has raised to ride height then you may have a leaking air bag/solenoid or line. If you dont have any leaks it is possible the EVO(air suspension module} or relay is at fault.
thew motor you hear running is the compressor for the air ride or leveling system. if you dont hear the motor check the fuses. also there is a level sensor under the truc k in the rear and should be hooked to the rear end.
Common failure is the air compressor relay,But in some rare cases the relay will fail due to the faulty air compressor. You may wanna have a shop diagnose the issue before you replace any parts.
the air suspension system is failing, check the suspension switch located behind the passengers side kick panel to see if its on,check the fuses, worst case a hole in the lines to the air bags or bad compressor.about the sunroof-not sure
If the compressor is working and actually pumping out air, might need to check your lines dont have a leak by disconnecting them from the bags. If pressured air is making it to the end of the line, then bags may need to be inspected and one or both replaced. However it is more likely that the lines are leaking or the compressor pump needs a service. Just a new set of rings in the unit. Good luck, hope it helps.
Sounds like the seals may have failed in the air shocks themselves. I also think you may have a bleeder valve problem. Follow the lines back and check the bleeder valve to see if it is leaking when you have someone else turn the vehicle on.
