Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
I have to reset the resolution every time I sit down to my desktop. I have reset both the display (monitor) and the nVdia graphics setting at the same time...at different times...and each on their own. But the resolution always goes back to 8 bit.The monitor is only a year old. This (and many other) problem started after I installed Norton. Can you help oh Mighty Guru?
Go to NVDIA web site download the latest driver.
you need at least 32bit color to setup the monitor.
the 8-bit color is a default, that is why the monitor alway return to default size which is 800x600.
19" monitor should have minimum of 1280x1024 with 32 color.
don't up the color 256bit. the color will be off on the monitor.
