BladeZ 40cc go-ped doesn't strart... well kinda

Today i got a BladeZ 40cc goped for $70 and actually it looks pretty new! Great price right? Well anyway, when i got it home it took me about 5 hours to get it started (the guy that sold it to me said it hasn't run in a couple of years). When i got on it, the ped was REALLY sluggish. In fact it didn't even reach past 5mph. It also died within 60 seconds from when i started the thing. I havn't been able to get it started since. I checked the spark plug and seemed to be working fine. Have any ideas what's going on?

change your fuel filter take your carb apart and clean it real good your carb number should be wyk 224b so get the kit for that put a new spark plug in the gap should be .24 and check to see if your belts are to tight there should be a 1/2 play in them hope this helps bud.

I know what the problem is. the problem is the motor.either the guy who sold it to you added something other than 2-stroke oil in with the gas, so he clogged the engine/motor. basically your going to need a brand new motor. sorry to tell you...

How do I find out what make, model my 302 engine came out of ? It's in my '66 Mustang. I was told it's a '71 motor, but I would like 2 know what make, model ex (LTD, Maverick, F-100 Pickup) etc.?

Try taking the number off the engine and see if the dealer can search it up. I doubt they only put it in one car model, but the number on the engine should match the frame. Get where I'm going? As old as it is, I wouldn't expect anything though.

What are the common problems with Apple OSX Mountain Lion?

Hello Patrick,

The most common problems I've experienced with Mountain Lion are the following:
  • Reduced battery life. I've noticed about an hour to an hour and a half cut off from my battery life of my Macbook Pro. I'm not sure if this applies to you since you have a Macbook Air, but my recommendation is to try a reinstall if you experience battery problems and turn off some of the extra features like Twitter integration and iCloud when you're not using them.
  • Safari is crashing. Safari is a browser that used to have little respect but now has actually gotten pretty decent. However, with Mountain Lion it actually crashes a lot more than usual. I don't have a fix for it offhand, but I would recommend just using Chrome (which I use anyways) or Firefox. And stay away from Explorer!
  • Free upgrades to Mountain Lion. When I got my free upgrade to Mountain Lion (if you purchased a Mac after June 11, 2012 you can get one too) it took Apple about 5 days to upgrade me to Mountain Lion. This is a super low priority problem, but it's still something I hope they're working on.
  • Notes synchronization. I have answered this on FixYa already, you can find it on the site.

Best of luck.

What is the amp draw when the car is on accessory with nothing on. just a estimation. My car is drawing 5 amps with the key in and turned and it killed my battery?

When you say NOTHING on, are you saying no radio or interior light? No light on in the boot (trunk) and no sidelights? If this is the case then a 5 amp drain does sound a little odd.

That said 5 amps should not be a great drain on the battery. If you have a 70 amper hour battery (Obviously, I don't know what car and rating battery you have, so I just took a general stab at a Mitsubishi Charisma which has a 70ah battery) then a 5 amp drain should take 14 hours to kill it stone dead. I imagine that 5 hours would put it in a pretty poor condition and 10 hours would probably have discharged it to the point where all your lights are dim and the vehicle wont turn over on the starter motor.

It does sound like you have something draining moe power than would be expected

I bought a second hand go-ped, there is no indication of any brand, anything, I need to buy some spare parts, but do know the displacement- probably it is midi goped 41, the spark plug is BM6A. How...

Go-Ped or GoPed is a brand of powered scooter and if it is a Go-Ped brand powered scooter then you should find the word "Go-Ped" on it somewhere. I think on average a Go-Ped will have the Go-Ped brand on it in about 17 different places and would seem unlikely that that all the labels are removed.

My scooter starts runs good then dies

Replace the battery, after sometime the battery starts to lose it's initial capacity.

For battery replacement go to Goped.com, select your scooter model, then click replacement parts and find the batteries on the part list.

My mo ped stutters at high speeds

Take off Air filter, look inside the carb and pull throttle all the way, the circle should be fully open, if not it may not be getting the full amount of gas it could be, Clean the carb as well, take it apart and clean the mesh filter, To check your plug, just unscrew it from engine, put the cap on the plug, place the tip of the plug on something metal and pull start the engine to see if its sparking. I think you have a carb problem though, clean it and clean your filter and you should be good. If its a stock engine on a goped sport than you should mix 3.2 ounces of oil per gallon. Hope this helps
