Try restarting you computer and then going through with install. this happened to me after downloading and unziping the file. couldn't figure it out either then a power outage shutdown puter when i restarted it and tryed to istall it when through fine ... go figure.

Just in case you still have problems ...
This is a link to a driver download for th eVision 123 digital camera that has worked for me running Win XP. Hope it helps. Once you download and unzip the file, restart your computer and go to the setup file to start. for some reason the setup file doesn't seem to want to run until you restart. after the software is installed it works great. see the description on the page for more details of what is included in this setup. hope it works good for you too. And remeber to pay good deeds forward, if you come across someone else who needs this driver offer them the same link. DON'T FORGET TO BACK IT UP TO CD!!!! LOL

Installing Your Digital Camera Driver on Your Windows Computer To transfer...

Installing Your Digital Camera Driver on Your Windows Computer To transfer digital camera photos to your computer, you need to install the camera's driveron your computer. You can install a driver fairly easily on a Windowscomputer, and that driver lets you access your digital camera photos onyour computer. To install the driver:
91394.image1.jpgenlarge.gif Enlarge1Choose Start→Control Panel→Printers and Other Hardware→Scanners and Cameras→Add an Imaging Device. The Scanner and Camera Installation Wizard opens with the Welcome screen, as shown in this figure.
91396.image3.jpgenlarge.gif Enlarge2Connect your camera or card reader to your computer (placing your camera in Connect mode, if necessary). You can probably connect your camera by using a USB cable, as this figure shows.
91398.image5.jpgenlarge.gif Enlarge3Select Automatic Port Detection in the wizard (see figure), then click Next. The Camera Selection window opens.
91400.image7.jpgenlarge.gif Enlarge4Select your digital camera make and model in the Camera Manufacturer and Model lists; then click Next.If your camera or card reader isn't listed, install the driver from the disk that came with your device. Place thedisk in the appropriate drive and click the Have Disk button. Thewizard walks you through the process.
5Turn your connected camera on. Click Next. The Installation Wizard now asks you to name your device.
91402.image9.jpgenlarge.gif Enlarge6Type a name for your camera or device. Click Next.Choose a name that makes sense to you, or the camera's make and model.
7To complete the Windows installation process, click Finished.

OK Tested solution. pay attention please.

Yes you can. Here's what worked for me.

First disconnect your camera.

Software
Uninstall your existing software.
Download new software from http://www.goaiptek.com/drivers/driverfiles/minixp_1.5.zip Unzip.
Install the new software but DO NOT CONNECT THE CAMERA UNTIL INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

Camera
Remove any batteries.
Set switch to 'On'
Set Mode to Video
When software installation is complete, plug in camera to PC with USB cable supplied.

Set up

the error that you have mentioned is related to a memory location so you might have a problem with the memory of the PC however I would try and boot the PC in directory service restore mode which is a protected mode in windows and try to install the program from here and see how it goes.

Directory service restore mode is very similar to safe mode however it has admin rights.

Vista system will not insall dual mode camera

Make sure the camera is un-pluged while loading the software. After the installation, and the computer reboots, plug it in. It should recognize the drivers then. You should go into control panel and remove the first installation prior to re-installing.
Then your camera will work, but still a lot to be desired.

Lost software

I just bought one of these and discovered that someone had punched a hole through the software CD to hang the package on a peg! I found the driver and successfully loaded it from the following website.
