Firts, Iwould need the full model number off of your computer to verify what processor but doubt you can do a dual core. My suggestion is to clean up what you have now. Just a couple of easy steps to try. First, download and run ATF cleaner. It is a simple free program to clean up trash files

Second, defragment your hard drive. open my computer=> right click my computer=> properties=> click tools tab=> defragment now.

Third, download malwarebytes, save to desktop, restart computer in safe mode(hold F8 as soon as it powers up before windows starts, choose safe mode) install malwarebytes, run a full scan, don't do anything else on pc while it is scanning, it may freeze, if it finds anything, let it clean it up for ya.

After that, I strongly suggest using either registry booster (made by uniblue) or registry mechanic (made by pc tools). You will have to pay a little for these but will make a huge difference with your speed issues.

That laptop uses AMD Athlon 64 single-core L110-series processor - so no, i3 or 5 will not work. And there are no possible upgrades, these processors have never been sold to customers, only to manufacturers.

In general it is possible to upgrade the processor of a laptop, the socket has to be the same. A faster processor may or may not produce more heat than your current one, the heat output is mainly distinguished by the watts the cpu uses.

It is though not very practical to change the CPU. Same socket means that you are bound to processors of the same era, you cannot get a state of the art architecture processor (like i3, i5, i7) with the same socket your P6200 has.

Next point is that it is not that easy to change the processor inside of a laptop, the parts are very tightly screwed into the casing making it hard to do anything in there. additionally you are likely to destroy something or unintentionally wont be able to fit all the pieces in place afterwards.

Looking at the list of pentium processors at wikipedia. It says the P6200 uses a Socket G1, as you can see in that list there are only four CPUs using this socket, and only one that would count as better as yours. So clearly: No, not worth it.

Actually there are some i7's out using the same socket and drawing only 35W, but I wont guarantee that it actually would work, and I doubt that the laptops hardware is made to support this CPU.

It is possible, but I would not recommend it.

Dear Justin,

The Latitude E5410 service manual shows that the following processors can be used: Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 series, as well as Intel Celeron and it is also shown in the manual that the processor can be removed (it is not soldered directly to the motherboard) . And a review of this laptop by "Notebook Review" indicates that "The Latitude E5410 offers a wide range of processor options, spanning from the Core i3 370M to the Core i7 620M."

Although I do not know which processor you presently have in your laptop, I would say that it can be upgradeable from a Core i3, or Core i5 to a Core i7 620M processor.

What is deffrence between core i3, and core i5


There's two main differences between them that i can think off the top of my head.
1) The speed at which the processor works (where i5 works faster than i3)2) The number of cores it has.
Cores are like little computers inside the computer itself. The i3 has 2, while the i5 usually has 4. usually the more cores a computer has the better it is at doing background processes.

Core i3 and Core i5 technology has less 'processor power', than a comparable Core i7, but the Core i3, and Core i5 were also designed to use less power. Therefore (Supposedly) more battery life.

How can i use oracle in win 7 platform of i3 processor?and which processor is best core 2 duo or core i3?


Windows 7 Release Candidate was publically released on May 5, 2009. This should be the final release before it goes live later this year. download it, install it in a VM inside of VirtualBox and try to install Oracle on it. There is no Oracle release for Windows 7, so instead grab the Windows 2008 one. The install is pretty straight forward. The only "gotcha" is that if you go to the command prompt, you need to run it as the Administrator, so that all of the Oracle commands will work (lsnrctl, dbca, netca etc...) Really there is not that much to it as it was pretty seemless. So, if you download Windows 7, then you can also download Oracle 11g and start playing with it today!

Based on the model of your motherboard, it supports only Intel processors and not AMD. You can buy eitther i3 / i5 or i7 for a 1156 motherboard just like the one you have. First you need to be clear that dual core is the family of Pentium series. so there is no processor called Pentium.............. now regarding your question i would suggest you do not go for dual core... Take core 2 duo or I3 /I5/I7 series of processor..............
