For 2 years I go through the hassle of F1 code. I have DD603i which doesn't display the code, but it's the same. Moisture sensor located bottom left under bottom drawer (black casing box). First I unplug the unit ... I have to open the drawers, check for any moisture/water - if I see it - sop it up ...let air dry for a few days and start all over for about 6-8 weeks before it happens again. Then cross my fingers when I plug it back in and hope that the F1 doesn't occur. Typically service call runs me $130 a call an each time I call -- it's 2 weeks before someone comes out so naturally the problem doesn't occur when they are there (it's air dried by then). So they don't change any hoses or what have you and aren't able to test for whether the drawer lid fits tight. They and F/P always say "only use powdered dishwasher detergent, don't fill both dispensers, and only partially fill the larger dispenser side). Then I hear "don't overload ...could cause the lid not to come down and seal properly, etc". Oh and "make sure you use both drawers at least several times a month because not using - everything is plastic and good get brittle and break". It's an expensive headache ..... and only reason I "deal" is because I am a one person household. I only use certified F&P installer & service techs ... so not sure what the deal is. Am now in search of a home warranty company to cover all my appliances and will need to verify they are F&P certified. Seems to be the only financial recourse at this stage. My unit is 5 years old.

This may happen frequently... There is a usual cause and a usual solution.
Solution.. Remove bottom drawer.. with drawer fully open depress plastic stops on left and right near drawer face... lift drawer off the metal guides... move the drawer to left or right and set down as far as it can reach without pulling off the connections.
Now.. dry out the area... not a simple drying.. there will be water in the pan... dry it with towels or a wet dry vaccum. Now... it's not dry yet... either let is set for many hours or use a vacuum and blow out the entire area ore use the suction... there are many sensors down there and water gets up and into the controls unit ... you have to get it DRY... DRY.... DRY... then set the drawer back on the rails and push it in... it should reconnect the two plastic stops automatically as you push in the drawer..
NOW... Cause...
We'll, there coiuld be a lot of others... but ... water got below the drawers into the pan... could be lots of malfunctioning equipment OR it could be USER ERROR... lets not overload the dishwasher.. let's not force down plates and stuff to get the drawer to close... Because.. the stuff will push on the unit container and allow water to pass by a seal that has been affected by the overload..
Of course... the system could just be leaking.. so if it happens every day... it's probably time for a service tech.

The easiest thing to do is to check if the filter at the base is clean.
I am assuming the kitchen drain is clear because the other drawer seems to work normally.

DD603 gives me an F3 and stops before wash ends, then beeps.

Hi- The F3 fault is related to the water temperature. Probable cause is the controller not sensing the correct water temp. It is also possible the the heater plate is faulty. Hope this helps.

Appliance: Fisher&Paykel DD603 Draining

You may want to check up if the water collects in the bottom drawer when the top drawer is in wash cycle (ie, taking water from the inlet) or during the drain cycle when it is draining water out. Leave the bottom drawer open and check while the top drawer is running.

E-mail for Fisher Paykel DD603 manual

Josh, you will need to have a Tech out to look at it... F/P will not sell you parts to repair it. The F1 indicates that the flood switch has been tripped. There are many possible causes for this but probably the upper drawer link support has broken and is getting stuck between the lid and the drawer in which case you will need a new lid and link support.
