Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: fan noise

I was having the same problem and I just fixed it yesterday. You will never guess what was causing the loud fan noise.... give up? the NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Cards that were in there...... I bought an ATI Radeon 3870 yesterday popped it in, installed the drivers, and now my computer does not sound like an airplane anymore....... this card is amazing and its on newegg now for 80 bucks..... itds GDD4 as well and the games look better than a playstation 3........ this card also improved my overall system performance drastically.....

SOURCE: Dell Precision 490 constant reboot after ghost image completed

Hello-

I figured out how to ghost a Dell Precision 490 with a 32 bit Windows XP Image! Like you I had the same problem where it would constantly reboot after I imaged it with an existing 490 image. The answer is actually very simple. Boot up your Precision 490 and hit F2 to enter the bios. Select Drives and then SATA Operation, change it to "Raid Autodetect / ATA". Reboot the 490 and re image the machine, it will now work!

If you are getting no video at all, then we can use the diagnostic LEDs and the power LED to help determine the failure.

How can I fix DELL precision 490 issue

Ersin, not knowing the age of the unit and the motherboard condition, is hard to make a problem fix.

If the unit is two or more years old, I would examine the motherboard for Bad Capacitors.

If the caps are not crowned or bloated, try the next step.
Remove all external devices and check the fallowing.
USB Ports for shorts
CMOS Battery for 3.0 volts
Remove and reseat the memory and CPU ( Reseal with Thermal )
Check all your cooling fans
Remove and test the power supply. ( Do this First )

When testing the unit, make sure all external devices are disconnected.
Hope this helps.

I normally post this link:

but I think I can get better info for you here:

2 things.
The power led flashing amber can mean a failure of one rail in the power supply, or a bad connection (The cables are removable from the power supply) so you may try reseating power connections internally.
1 & 3 LEDs can mean a RAM failure

All fans are working properly. System still comes on stays on for approx 2 mins and turns off.

CPU is overheating - the heatsink may be loose or no thermal paste.
Take heatsink off and have a look.
Go into BIOS and view hardware readings - watch CPU temp to see if it risees.
