Roller skating is safe as long as safety precautions are taken and common sense is utilised. Roller skating gets a bad rep from people, but even a sport like football which many are okay with their kids playing can cause serious damage to their kids. So why does roller skating alone get such heat? Probably because of how it is seen in pop-culture; pop-culture portrays roller skaters as people with a lower sense of regard for safety and as adrenaline junkies. If roller skating was performed under supervision along with the person using all the safety gear, there should be nothing to worry about. Also, those YouTube hits aren't worth getting your bones broken. To learn more visit Thrill Appeal website.

It has been proved that wearing wrist guards can reduce the number of wrist injuries by 87 percent. I think all the safety accessories are must. Safety also depends upon the quality of skate you are using. I prefer to buy roller skates online, as there are many websites available which avail the best of them at an affordable price.

Wrist guards do indeed protect the wrist during relatively low-energy falls by 'load-sharing' with the wrists and arm bones and by absorbing impact energy

It helps by protecting your wrist-bone and your forearm from large amounts of weight on impact. If you don't fall completely flat onto the ground then while skating you could fall and it could help you slide instead of just hitting the ground

How can I maintain my figure skating blades and boots?

Keeping your figure skating boots and figure skating blades dry is the key to their longevity. Figure skating blades should never be stored in plastic blade guards!! Always wipe off any moisture from figure skating boots and blades. You can use teri-cloth blade covers, Zookers, or Blade Blankies to store figure skating blades. It's typically a good idea to occasionally take your figure skates out of your skating bag to let them "air out". Also, never leave figures skates in your car during warm weather seasons. Most figure skates are heat moldable and leaving them in the car can misshape and ruin your figure skates.

How do I know what size figure skating blade I need to fit my figure skating boot?

When you compare the different lengths of a men's size 9 skate from different manufacturers you'll see a difference in length. Consult a sizing chart to help you determine what sizes to try on first. Usually, it measures like 10.94 inches long, a Bauer size 9 measures 10.9 inches long and a Remz size 9 measures 11.2 inches long.
Better Try on roller skates from several different manufacturers to ensure the best.
