There is no law that suggests that you must wear a protective helmet when rollerblading - however if you are prone to falling over like me then it would be advisable to wear something to protect your precious head.

The short answer is yes. They are dangerous because they shoot heavy projectiles at a minimum of 40 miles per hour. If you are using a pitching machine, it is imperative that you wear the proper protective gear such as helmet, chest and leg guards.
