Geocache list doesn't show on gps

Basecamp is displaying the contents of the gpx file. This means you've correctly imported the gpx file into Basecamp.

A copy of the gpx file needs to be separately saved into the "GARMIN/GPX" folder on your GPS via USB and your computer. (Note: I believe your Oregon has the same file structure as my Garmin Montana).

On startup, your GPS will read the new data and display the caches.

What is a Geocoin and how does it look like?

A Geocoin is trackable and can travel the world, picking up stories from geocache to geocache. Geocoins are often created as signature items by geocachers and can also be used as collectibles. If you want to see how it looks like just write Geocoin in Google and then click on images on the left side menu.

What is Muggled?

Muggled is actually being caught by a non-geocacher while retrieving/replacing a cache; also, a muggled cache means that it has been removed or vandalized by a non-geocacher, usually out of misunderstanding or lack of knowledge.

Whats inside the cache?

The geocache must include a log book with pen or pencil and trade items. The finding geocachers record their exploits in the logbook and online. Geocachers are free to take objects (except the logbook, pencil, or stamp) from the cache in exchange for leaving something of similar or higher value.

Common cache contents are unusual coins or currency, small toys, ornamental buttons, CDs, or books. Also common are objects that are moved from cache to cache called "hitchhikers", such as Travel Bugs or Geocoins, whose travels may be logged and followed online.

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor sporting activity using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to hide and seek the geocache (container) hidden at that location (anywhere in the world).

When pulling up geocache map

This is a common problem when you enter geocaches or Waypoints in which you DID NOT SCRUB the html code. Start Deleting Geocaches until you find the bad one and all will return to normal.

Also investigate a program called GSAK and use its stripper before you load the geocaches.

I have a Garmin 250 Nuvi. I would like to do some

No this is a road navigation only unit. For a cheap entry level GPS that you can use for Geocaching, take a look at the Garmin eTrex series. For a top of the line, consider a GPS60csx or the new Oregon series from Garmin.

I want to go Geocaching and I want to know how to enter Lat/Long or update my equipment to this?

well i'm a great geocacher and i love to help people with the GPS'rs
so you found the guy :))))
It may not be the easiest approach, but you could create a custom POI file for your Geocache locations and then load them into your c330 using POI Loader.

If you're a premium member on Geocaching.com, it's my understanding that you can download locations in GPX format. POI Loader is supposed to read GPX files, but I haven't tried it with geocache locations yet.

Do you have a geocaching account that can download GPX files?

Someone told me that you can use Long/Lat with Google Earth, and you can save Google Earth POI's in GARMIN .cvs format, to use in the PIO Loader.

Garmin GPSmap 60CSx and geocaches

Search for them "by name" instead of "by nearest"

Find>waypoints>find>menu>enter>by name

Only the nearest 50 caches show up and then only if they are within 50 miles.
