What is better figer skating or hokey. and why

That depends on an individual themselves. There is no answer to your question which can speak for everyone. So it's is up to you as an individual to come up with reasons why you would pick hockey over figure skating. Here are some arguments, figure skating is artistic(art), peaceful where as hockey is a rough sport requires strong and muscular body and is action. Here is an article take time to read it maybe you

When I fill my ice rink, should I use hot or cold water?

Cold water is best for building up depth. Hot water makes for a stronger, smoother surface after a base depth is established. At least one hot water flood is recommended before skating for the first time.

How can I maintain my figure skating blades and boots?

Keeping your figure skating boots and figure skating blades dry is the key to their longevity. Figure skating blades should never be stored in plastic blade guards!! Always wipe off any moisture from figure skating boots and blades. You can use teri-cloth blade covers, Zookers, or Blade Blankies to store figure skating blades. It's typically a good idea to occasionally take your figure skates out of your skating bag to let them "air out". Also, never leave figures skates in your car during warm weather seasons. Most figure skates are heat moldable and leaving them in the car can misshape and ruin your figure skates.

How do you protect your ramp against the rain?

Wet damp conditions are not good for your ramp as the wood will more than likely rot after time. This should be taken into consideration before you make your ramp. When building the ramp, make sure to use galvanized screws or nails and use pressure treated wood, you should also paint it for extra protection.

I want to build a skate ramp, however I need to know how to bend the wood into position?

For all but the top layer the wood should be bent with the grain. It bends much easier this way. The basic technique is to screw the bottom of your plywood in place, and have your helper(s) walk slowly up the transition bending it and holding it down with their weight against the frame as they go. Then you, and possibly others work your way up screwing in one row at a time. It's important to have the plywood held flush against the transition framing by your helper(s) when you screw it in. If you rely on the screws to pull the plywood flush, they'll pull through the plywood, or pull the plywood out of place.
