Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others
The target placement has nothing to do with your dominant eye. It is easier to shoot with your dominant eye as it comes in focus more easily, but as others have said you should train to shoot with either eye and shoot both left and right handed with rifles, shotguns, and pistols. It is not really that hard, just takes a bit of practice.

If you are using a rifle, the best thing to do is shoot left handed. It will take some time but it can be mastered.
I would recommend the same if you are using a hand gun. Beware of the recoil in the left hand as pistols normally have right hand twist in the bore and recoil turns the grip into the hand. For a "lefty", the right twist will try to twist the weapon out of your hand, thus one must keep a stronger grip. And, yes, try to aim with both eyes open, concentrating on the sights with your master eye. Happy shooting.

It doesn't make a difference; you should try to train your eyes so the best thing is to keep both eyes open when shooting at a target.

Most people are either naturally left eye dominant or right eye dominant, but most people are neither. In archery and other target based sports, this allows you to aim the sight at a target. From the eye dominance you should know which bow suits you, left or right handed bow.
