Router won't power up

Check the power adapter with a multimeter. The voltage should be the same or slightly higher that the voltage stated on the adapter's label. If there isn't any or low voltage the the adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Repetitive disconnect problem....requires powering off & on to reset

I used a D-Link Di 624 for a number of years with Comcast and never had a problem with the router, but I did upgrade the firmware. You may want to look at the following items from D-Link about the DI-624S and see if you can find a better solution. I took the router out of service as I changed to Verizon FIOS and use their provided router.

I must power off then power on my DI-524 router every day. The signal strength is good but I cannot access the indernet until power off then on. It works all day when I do that. Is there a fix for this?

it seems that the location of the router is not correct, it is either getting into a magnetic field or is not getting proper air to cool itself, because of these reasons there is static charge getting developed on the router, which requires a restart every day.

Please make sure that the router is kept at a location where there is nothing within 12" radius of the router as that would obstruct free flow of air that is required to cool the device.

Please also make sure that the router is away from any kind of magnetic field.

I've lost my adaptor to my router. I just need to find a place that sells parts.

Try this site, find an adapter that is same voltage as the one that came with the d-link, i think its 12v 1.2a so if you get a 1000ma or 500ma 12v power supply should do the trick.

20 what? db? is there voltage? there are i think 4 regulators. they all bring the 5.2V down to 3.x. if there is and it still does not work then it will be to much trouble to find out how to get it to work. those are discontinued anyway.

Reset dlink 614+ router, forgot password

I don't know for the 614 as there isn't a model like that... Your picture shows a DI-514. Here is the process for that model.

To hard-reset the D-Link Plus DI-514 to Factory Default Settings, please do
the following:
• Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power
• Press the reset button and hold (use a paper clip)
• Keep the button pressed about 10 seconds
• Release the button
The DI-514 will then automatically reboot itself.

If you truly have a 614, can you post more about the model number? It's usually written on the bottom of the router.

My D-Link AirPlus Xtrame G is dead

Your power adapter may be dead, check the power connector with a multimeter to see if you have the correct voltage as per the label on the adapter. If not you may only need to buy a power adapter.
You may be able to borrow another adapter with the same voltage and current rating and plug it into your D-Link and if you get a POWER and STATUS lights it proves you have a dead power adapter. If you don't get any lights then it looks like your D-Link is dead.

Dim Power LED on DI-707P

there is apossible hardware issue within the unit itself, the chipset may have been damaged through age, surge or impact.

aside from the hardware issue, it can be a firmware issue too, and an upgrade will be the best move to solve the problem.

please contact D-Link support to perform further troubleshooting and to check on the warranty status of the device as it is showing signs of being deffective.

X box

Sometimes Cable providers require you to add your X-Box MAC address to the account so they know where to send the IP.
