You can fix it using a piece of wood and screwing it with a Stainless Steel sheetmetal screw (like a #6x1/2"lg ss)

Hi Ann This is a relatively new product so its not surprising you're struggling to find info online. I'd suggest contacting Hitachi cust services anyway:

Also, go along to Dixons because they do sell this item and just state that you bought one from there but there was no user manual. They can copy one for you there.

I have the manual for the RD55 as well as the unit, brackets and original box. It works great, I just have no need for it anymore. If anyone is interested, make me an offer. [email protected]
