The F24 error show that the sensor in the ice maker is out of normal ranges. The usual fix is to replace the sensor in the ice maker.  Also worth checking it to see is the water to the ice maker has frozen up in the value (switch the fridge off for a day). If the error still exists after that you will need to replace the ice maker sensor. You have a 2 year warranty on these parts so the fix should be free.

SOURCE: Error code F20 on RF610A

Hi.

F20 means that there is a problem with the defrost system. The temperature sensor and the element comprised in the defrost system must be tested. Testing is done removing the firewall panel (usually in the freezer compartment in F&P) and accessing the parts. Parts are tested reading impedance with a multimeter. The test will determine if element is open or if the temperature sensor is open at room temperature to find out if any of the two parts must be replaced. Voltage to element must also be tested.

Try performing a manual defrost. Remove all food and disconnect the fridge overnight. If the problem does not come back, then the fault was probably a temporary malfunction. If the defrost system is faulty the problem may come back after a couple of days, when the defrost system restart malfunctioning. In that case ring the F&P number listed on the owners manual to call a technician.

Regards.

Ginko

How do you get to the fan in a rf610a. coming up with a f13 fault

The low ambient heater is drawing less current than expected. Either the heater or wiring is open circuit or the heater is faulty.

  1. Check the wiring and connections at both heater and power module
  2. Check the low ambient heater resistance. If not within limits replace.

As for the fan,
1. Disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply.
2. Remove all PC shelving.
3. Remove the duct grill in the PC.
4. Remove the PC duct cover and polystyrene insulation.
5. Using 2 fingers, withdraw the fan motor upwards. It is mounted horizontally in the divider partition.
6. With the motor out, this will expose a small multi plug and socket connection to the fan motor and wiring
harness. Unplug.
7. To refit back together, fit the wiring harness multi plug first into the pocket of the divider partition.
8. Using your 2 fingers, slip the motor back into the divider partition to fit horizontally.
NOTE: The back of the fan motor faces upwards.
9. Refit the duct covers and test.

How to replace the fan in a rf610a

Which fan? Fridge fan or freezer fan?

Fridge fan

To test the fan(s),
Testing a PC or FC fan motor with a multi meter is not possible, due to the electronics contained within the motor. The simple way to test a fan motor is to apply a DC voltage with a 9-volt battery.

Fisher and Paykel French door, freezer drawer, F24 and flashing wrench symbol. Help

That's a water filter error code.

Did you just change the water filter? If not, do so.

If you didn't change it or changing it doesn't solve it, the next step is to ensure there's no air trapped in the system. Get 2 or 3 glasses of water at the door.

If the error code still shows, press and hold the Filter button for 10 seconds which should re-set the code.

If that sorts it out, let us know what worked please. This helps other people with a similar problem know.

However, iIf you still have trouble and the appliance is still in warranty (possibly 2 years or more depending on where you bought it), call the company and provide the model and serial number and they should be able to tell you.

If in warranty, arrange a service call.

If not, let us know what you did and we'll go from there. Good luck!

OK I have the RF610A fridge on top and freezer below in french door arrangement.

Have you checked the fridge thermostat? If the thermostat is ok then you should trace the volts which operate the valve which connects the compressor to the fridge evaporator coils. If the valve is getting volts then the valve is faulty. If not fault lies with control circuitry.

Error code F32 for fisher paykel fridge F32 and a spanner is appearing in the display of our new Fisher Paykel fridge model # RF610ADUX. What does this mean ?

Got the same error here, called Fisher Paykel and the said it's an error related to the water line. They recommended running 3 L of water and see if code disappeared. If not, call service, they gave me a local company. Error code has disappeared, for now.
