Samsung PN51D450 no power

You see the thin board to the left of the Ysustain? Did you try disconnecting that from the Ysustain, then power up your TV with the power supply connected to the Ysustain board?

Also, did you notice if the blinking light on this board blinked once a second?
http://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung-bn96-20513a-main-logic-ctrl-board.htm
That board right there keeps the power supply board turned on, and monitors the Ysustain board when it's connected to the power supply.
When you disconnect the power supply from the Ysustain, the power voltages usually do power up, then slowly drift down. But when you connect the power supply to the Ysustain, the power supply should stay powered up as long as that green light blinks once a second. Once that light goes out, the power supply board is turned off.
And since you installed the Ysustain, I would have tested it with the thin board disconnected from the Ysustain first.

My brand new Samsung LA40c650L1F won't turn on. The power light keeps on flashing. No picture no sound. It really sucks. Here I am with my new TV and it won't start.

Since the unit is within the 1 year warranty, you should call 1-800-samsung to set up repair with an authorized service center. I would recommend talking to samsung about an extended warranty also.

About four years old Samsung LW26A33W 26 lcd tv (1500 euros) and power went out suddenly while I was watching it. I then had a tech give it a once over and he claims the power supply box should change, and...

We bought a new one. The old one went to basket. The seller gave the new one little bit cheaper.
So its nowadays. Much more rubbish! The way to solving this problem was the baddest way.

Try resetting the TV by holding down the "up" button on the remote (with the TV powered on) and then, while you hold down the up button on the remote, hit the power button on the TV. This should do a "factory reset" which will wipe all settings in the TV. There is no reason why the TV should not "remember the last input it was on when it was ;last turned off. Also be sure that the TV is not plugged into a switched AC outlet, like the outlet on the back of the cable bix. The TV should be plugged into an output that receives power at all times.

New Samsung Tv High pitched hum

Don't know if people are still having this issue or not but figured I'd post what i went through to help anyone that has. My LN-T3253H tv as out of warranty when I finally got around to calling Samsung. They flat out lied about the commonality of this problem and I convinced them to at least pay for any parts. Problem is the labor of a technician would be around $150. So, I bought the new power supply from Partstore.com for around $70. Just go to partstore.com and enter your model number and look for the power supply on the page. It took 3 days to get the part. It was very easy to replace. All you have to do take off the back cover of the tv (think there were around 12 screws all around the outside and one where the A/V connections are and pull off. Unhook the plugs going to the power supply and the four screws holding the board and then replace with the new board. So far, this fixed the issue. Keep your old board in case it starts happening again. You can probably have the old board repaired to fix the original problem since so many TV repair shops are aware of the issue. I am trying to find out from someone which specific capacitor or other piece is causing the issue and plan on fixing it myself. If and when I do, I will also post that.

Make sure you give Samsung a ton of grief when you speak to them and see if they lie to you also. I had just bought two of the new Samsung LED TV's for my media room. They work great but I returned both because of Samsung's refusal to fix my LN-T3253H and I will never, ever buy Samsung products again.
