Try going to a local crafter consignment type store that carries stuff made by local craft people. You can also hit resale shops and antique stores to find a lot of interestint items that will serve the same purpose. Menards also carries a wide varity of hooks and hangers that can be mounted on wood backers too.

You can get some really fun and funky coat racks these days and you don't have to spend a fortune on them.
Try looking at IKEA as they have some very traditional ones and also some more fun ones too.

I am home this weekend and I decided to paint my living room. Is there an amount of coats that you are needing to put on the wall? It has been a while sense I have painted. I heard maybe about 3 to be...

if the existing paint is a light color and you are doing the same color, then 2 coats should suffice,. Painting it darker, I would go 3 coats, painting it lighter, you may need to go more than 3 go to harbor freight tools and buy some plastic drop sheets, masking tape {blue} and some cheap brushes and roller and tray, turn on some tunes and a glass of wine, enjoy the "me time" depending on the quality of paint too will determine the coats needed, ask your home depot guy. behr brands are good cover paints. good luck have fun.{ps..wear some old clothes}

Preparing a screen for silk screening

Printing your own shirts at home is fun but can also be a long and tedious task, especially if you don't do things properly from the beginning. But when done properly the final results can be very rewarding.

First you have to make sure that the screen is completely dry so if you are washing your screens then you have to wait for them to dry. I like to stand them up in front of a fan for a few hours you can usually tell if they are dry the screen itself has a slight change in color in spots that are wet, you don't have to wait for the frame to be 100% dry but I like working with metal frames because they don't absorb water like the wooden ones. Once the screen dries then the fun begins.

Take your screens in to the dark room and if you have dark room lights (the red ones) then you can turn one on but try to keep the emulsion away from the light. Pour some emulsion into your coater you don't need a lot of emulsion if you are only doing a few screens. Holding the screen with the back facing you (the side that is flat) at about 110* angle in one hand and the coater in the other tilt the coater so the sharp edge is flush with the screen. I like to hold the screen in my left hand and the coater in my right because you need to apply a little pressure on the screen with the coater and I have more control when I use my right hand.

When you see the emulsion coat the whole edge of the coater and bead up at the sides a little you slide the coater up the screen in one even motion. It take a lot of practice to get a nice even coat. When you reach the top of the screen tilt the coater back so the emulsion goes back into the dish. Push up a little more and pull the coater away from the screen then flip the screen and repeat the same motion on the inside of the screen. If you didn't get a nice even coat like if towards the top the emulsion thins out and disappears this means that you didn't have enough emulsion in the coater but there is nothing you can do but work around it. Don't re-coat an already coated side!

After you coat a screen lay it on a drying rack with the flat side down, make sure that nothing touches the emulsion while it is wet and that no light gets on the screens until you burn them (put the design you want to print on the screen). Allow the screen to sit in the dark drying for at least 24 hours of until dry. If you coated the screens evenly then you shouldn't have to worry about dripping, but if you didn't then you might have to wait a few minutes between coating screens to make sure that they don't drip on each other.

Where is the best place to put a hat rack?

In a restaurant the best place to put a hat rack is at the frontdoor or near the bathroom. In a home, you should put your hat rack next to the door so that your guests don't have towalk to put it down, and so that they remember to take it with them on theirway out.

Do all coat racks have umbrella stands?

Not all coat racks have umbrella stand. They are an extra embellishment. Most coat racks are a few pegs screwed into awall or a stand with a few outposts, often called a coat tree. While umbrella stands are nice, they are notprerequisites to coat racks.

How tough is it to replace the rack and pinion on a pontiac montana

It's a bit of a pain, but doable with simple tools.

Loosen the front lug nuts. Jack up the van and support it on the rails just behind the front tires (not the sub frame as you need to lower that a few inches). Remove the front tires. Disconnect the sway bar link pins, and the sway bar mounting bolts. Disconnect the tie rod ends from the knuckles. Support the rear ends of the sub frame, and remove the bolts mounting it to the van. Once the sub frame bolts are out, lower the rear end of the frame. I did this by using a jack, and placing the jack stands a couple of inches below the frame. Remove the sway bar from the van. You may need to drop the rack a bit more, but be careful as the steering shaft is still connected. You should be able to get at the bolt that attaches the rack stub to the steering rod by pushing up on the boot. Remove the sub shaft bolt. Disconnect the power steering lines from the rack (at the rack). Un-bolt the rack from the sub frame, there are two bolts. The rack should be able to be removed from the drivers side of the van. I replaced the tie rod ends and the sway bar bushings when I replaced mine (new link pins are easy at this time too). The installation is reverse of removal. I measured the tie rod distances when I put the new ends on. The only change I made was that I tied the steering shaft boot down onto the rack so I could install the bolt. I couldn't push the boot up high enough to get the bolt back in. Be sure to install the new power steering line seals that should come with the rack (buy new ones if it doesn't) - the lines are different sizes so you can't mix them up. Torque everything to spec when reinstalling (the cheap Hanes manuals have what you need along with these directions!). It's easiest to install the sway bar brackets when the sub frame is hanging down. Once it's together and running, check the power steering fluid. Get an alignment immediately (I set mine up before I changed the rack).
One last bit of advice, buy the rack with the longer warranty, you don't want to do this twice.

My paddle lost its resin tip i have a tailwind kayak paddle, is there a way i can get the tip repaired

Possibilities:
1. Mix some epoxy resin and re-coat the tip.
2. Go to a local repair shop and get them to do it. (I don't know the cost of that paddle, but it might be as cheap to just buy a new paddle.)
3. Is it a problem? Ignore it for now and get a new paddle when you find one you like. The old one is then a loaner for friends who forget to bring one.

I usually keep an I out for racks by looking for dishwashers that have been discarded or are being sold cheap but still have good racks, you will have to make sure they fit though some do some don't. you can also call around to used appliance stores, I usually get mine at the dump.. It beats paying the price of a new dishwasher for new racks.

Its showing just blue background on the screen wita mesage NO SIGNAL.

If you are trying to capture from a digital camcorder (tape), you have to use a firewire connection, USB does not work as stated in requirements.
Adding to what Walt said, firewire cables don't connect to a USB port. If you don't have a firewire cable, you need to purchase one. And if you do, don't buy a cheap one. Buy cheap, buy twice.
