Its an issue with the digital processing board. Turn off the TV for sometime and let it cool. Then check. If you still face the same issue, get the digital processing board repaired.

SONY KV-32xbr50 intermittent

The fault is with some loose contacts. Check and rectify this. There is no more components to replace. Look for any loose solder terminals. That is all. But it will be a difficult task to reach to the exact point of fault.

Tv wont turn on

This TV set has self -diagnostic function. If a problem occurs, it will give an error code by number of blinks, which will point to specific circuit. How many blinks of "stand by" can you count?

The TV's power LED blinks 5 times after it shuts itself off.

you need a ohm meter, check video out,Q705,732, 761 on C board, also check Q218,Q219,Q220 on the A board, but it could be in the IK blanking

Actually TV system processor waits to get proper white balance signal and then it opens VIDEO MUTE signal for picture presentation. Here we think TV takes much time in giving picture.

No picture on a Sony KV-32V65 TV

AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the Cboard, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking.

Can't hold a picture

Your problem while watching cable tv sounds like a bad tuner with little or no adjacent channel rejection. The problem with the DVD and I think to some extent the cable sounds like a video processing problem. This unit has digital video circuits and could easily cause the problem you describe. The easiest and probably the cheapest solution would be to replace the board with a refurbed unit. Two companies which sell refurbed boards are PTS Electronics, Bloomington, IN ( and Tri-State Module, Evansville, IN ( Good luck.
