Question about Samsung Chromebook Series 5 3g Arctic White Atom N570 Ssd Wifi 12.1" Notebook
Unlike the Chromebook Series 3, the bezel around the screen on my Chromebook 500c cannot be fully removed because of a plastic hinge cover. I am wondering if I can remove the lower half of the case and unscrew the hinges to detach the lid without having to remove the motherboard to gain access to the display connector. Is there enough slack in the display cable to allow me to remove the display and disconnect the cable on the display side? This would be a much simpler repair than doing the teardown required to get at the other end of the display cable.

you must take the back cover of and remove the six screws to access the lower portion of the phone. Once you've done this remove the qwerty keypad. When you slide the phone back down you should see the back of the slider and two additional screws. Good luck.
