Blackberry deleting texts/cannot open texts

Blackberrys have something called a low memory manager, which deletes things in order of importance when the device memory is too low. Here is a very helpful link explaining it and how to check the device memory.http://my.simmons.edu/technology/helpdesk/pdf/Blackberry_Low_Memory_Manager.pdf
If you are saving pictures or have a large application you have downloaded you may want to transfer/remove them.

My text wont delete

Hi friend,

Could you tell me the text you referred to is the e-book text or the messages or some other files?

There is a kind of text called read-only text, that is to say,it can only be read but cannot be modified or deleted.May be there is read-only text in your cell phone. If you want to delete it, you may remove the condition of read-only.But remember that...To get more information, you can visit our website:Drop shipping unlocked China cell phone.

Random deleting

This means that you have too much memory in your phone, so it automatically makes its own memory. To fix this you need to delete some of your pictures and ringtones to add memory. I used to have this problem too! Hope this helps!

Blackberry Pearl automatically deleting messages

I actually had this problem a LOT in the past, it got so bad that I would get a message and it would INSTANTLY delete. Before I could even see who it was from, it would be gone. Then I looked for hours trying to find a solution, and found one. I haven't had the problem since, unless I have nearly a month's worth of texts in my phone. The problem is that your device memory is too full. If you have an SD card in your phone, I highly recommend moving any photos on your device memory over to the card. If not, then I HIGHLY recommend getting one, they are wonderful. If you do not have an SD card, and your budget is too small to get one, then delete any pictures on your device memory you dont need, or copy them over to your PC so you dont lose them, and try and keep your memory as empty as possible. Also if it happens a lot and bugs you, then every couple of days go in and empty out your message inbox also.
If this doesnt help then I dont know.

My phone and text messages

This issue is happening because the device memory is low. When the device's memory is low, the BlackBerry's Low Memory Manager kicks in and starts removing call logs and/or messages to clear space.

The link below shows some ways to free up memory on the BlackBerry device:

Missing text messages in blackberry pearl

I also have had this problem with my Blackberry Pearl. It has nothing to do with your SD memory card. First and foremost, blackberry shortchanged the pearl when it came to onboard memory size. You'll find this out when all of a sudden your call logs, text messages (SMS & MMS) and emails are deleted. When you receive a call it shows in your call log for only about a half hour and gets deleted again. To verify that it is a memory issue, go to options and click on status. If your file free is at 0, you need to free up some memory.

If you text message alot, this can happen quite frequently. Especially with MMS messages which use up alot more memory. Open your messages folder, click the menu key and click General Options. Make sure your phone is set to keep messages for either 15 days or 30 days. Also another thing is to make sure in your Camera options is that all pictures get saved to your memory card. If your pictures get saved to the phones memory, you will always have this problem until they are deleted or moved to your memory card. If you downloaded any games or applications to your phone, this can also be the problem. They make plenty of games and apps for the Pearl but didn't give the phone enough memory to use it all without eventually locking up the phone. This was my problem. I had a few games and a couple applications like Yahoo Go and Sudoku that I deleted and it helped out alot with my memory issues.

There are alot of other things you can do to help free up some memory but it would best if you just call blackberry tech support for your service provider and let them talk you thru all the steps. I've been very happy with T-Mobiles Blackberry tech support because they are separate from the normal customer service line. I've hardly ever had to wait to speak to a tech unlike the regular customer service which can take FOREVER!

I like the Pearl but these issues can certainly frustrate anyone that doesn't know how to deal with them.

Blackberry Pearl automatically deleting messages

TRY THIS...Press and hold the up/down bottom left key. While holding this down press L then 5 then L then 5 again. an event log will appear now press the menu key scroll down to CLEAR LOG. USING THE TRACK BALL PRESS THE BALL AND DELETE THE EVENT LOG. These are cookies and will destroy your memory which is very small anyway. Do this from time to time and it should solve your problem. Good luck to all......
