had the same prob with a sony dav dz it kept saying locked but after hours and hours of pressing random combinations it came off im sure it was unplug plugback in then hold power and open tray and tap stop or a combination of those buttons.i woud try it again on mine to make sure but i do not want to lock it again.
How I got my DVD
from ”lock” condition My DVD (Panasonic m:
DMR-ES10) had gone to ”locked” condition without any warning. Perhaps the reason
was that I transfered the machine when it was on and recording was going… Guidebook didn´t help to resolve the problem, neither
Internet. Finally I managed to solve the promlem . This is how i did step by
step: 1)Power on 2)Hello 3)read 4)no disc 5)functions 6)to others 7)setup 8)select down
arrow 9)disc 10)select
right arrow 11)setings
for playback 12)enter 13)ratings
(level8) 14)enter 15)No limit 16)enter 17)”The Recorder
is now unlocked” (picture of open lock) 18)enter 19)return 20)return After this DVD works normally. Jalmari
