Oil type


If you are asking about the engine oil, generators like the 10W 30 weight oil, which is good for winter and summer use. . The brand doesn't matter to any gret extent. Just don't buy the el cheapo brand in the dollar store.

Oil Type. Use new good quality oil such as SC, SD, and
SE grades. The oil to be used depends upon the temperature
at which the engine is operated:
Summer: (temperatures of over 40 degrees F/10 degrees
C) SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30, SAE 10W-40
Winter: (temperatures of below 40 degrees F/10 degrees
C) SAE 20 or SAE 10W-30

Wht weight oil does a 5700 take?


allot the generators take 30 weight but thats a guss in the winter i had go with light weight.
i am on my second colman i lived woods for years with no electrci other generator 30 weight is heavy stops less wear tear on the insides. But winter time comes i had go lighter becuse oil was like malassas. And then i could not pull it to start it was so thick and heavy the oil in winter
