hi I bought a 1995 cavallier and the owner mentioned that it only spits out lukewarm heat at best and thats only on warm days.....My question is ,could it be a thermostat problem or maybe a heater coil....if it is a thermostat where is it located so i may change it also same Q if its a heater coil.........also i notice that the engine temprature guage dosn't really go above 100 but it has been in thenegative to single digits in outside temp lately THANK YOU

It is likely that your coolant thermostat is stuck in the "ON" position, constantly keeping the water flowing. Try replacing the thermostat. That should do the trick. It won't damage the car running cool, but you're not going to get a lot of heat out unless you let the coolant sit in the engine for a while before getting recirculated.
