Find the Mute button and turn MUTE back on. It cuts off the microphone so you can talk in private to someone without the caller hearing.

You may have accidentally pressed the Mute button. Undo as below
Mute a Call:
You can talk to someone nearby without letting the caller hear you during a call. During a call: Press <C> t o mute the microphone and "MUTED" will display on the LCD.
Your caller cannot hear you. Press <C> again to unmute the microphone.

I can hear the caller but the call can't hear me

hi, if you have tried switching the phone off and removing the battery then putting it back in and switch it on, if you have tried this and it still dont work then this points to the fact that the microphone is damaged in your phone, it wont be a mute problem as you can only mute a call when you are in a call so it wont be something you have pressed, its either liquid damage or the part has just failed, its a common fault and easy to get replaced at most phone shops

I have a Plantronics C610 headset. The caller can hear me, but I can not hear the caller.

Here are a couple of things you can try. I included the link for the user guide below.

Callers cannot hear me.
• Headset is muted. Press the mute button on headset to unmute the microphone.
• Headset microphone boom aligned incorrectly. Align the headset boom with your mouth.
• The USB adapter is not set as the default Voice device. Use the Voice settings in Windows under Sounds and Voice Devices to select "Plantronics C610/C620" as the voice device.

Here is a link to the Plantronics C610 User's Guide.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Look to see if the Mute button (or Hold button) has been pressed. If so, press the Mute (or Hold) button again to turn it off. With Mute ON, you can hear what your caller is saying, but they can't hear you.

Vtech cordless phone appears to be mute

Try the "hard reboot". /1/ Unplug power from base station. /2/ Disconnect battery in each handset. /3/ Wait a few minutes. /4/ Reconnect battery. /5/ Re-plug-in power to base station. /6/ Place handset in base station, and wait a few minutes for it to recover.
You may have to reset time/date and/or the handset ##.
