In all the paint sprayers I've worked on, I've only been able to repair a couple prime valves and they went totally bad a short time after that. They can be taken apart and cleaned up but in the long run you'll be much further ahead replacing it if it isn't holding pressure in your system.

May be clogged. Push out roll pin with a pin punch and remove assembly.Check plastic pices for broken parts ( black). Put pump in water make sure it's delivering material with valve out. Ports on valve are not that big and do clog.

My titan 330 airless paint spray will not shut off while primming

Airless paint sprayers should not turn off while in prime mode. As long as the prime valve is open the motor can pump paint but the system will not build any pressure. Once the prime valve is closed the pump should pump paint into the hose until it gets to the pressure level required to turn the motor off. If the pump does not turn off with the prime valve closed, it could be that the spring in the valve is weak and won't hold the valve closed under pressure. If the hose is up to pressure and the motor just keeps trying to pump paint, you may have a bad pressure sensor or it is disconnected from the circuit board.

Is amsf-6 a self priming pump??

most all pumps need to be primed the first time before use, and every time after a repair !! you fill up the tank with water (about 3 gallons?)first this gives the pump suction it needs to start pumping IF YOU don't prime it it will burn up the shaft seal (in just a few minutes) and it will be slow to start pumping or leak OR not pump at all. if you ran it dry you will need to replace the shaft seal, you can split the pump at the seal plate leave the plumbing portion hooked up and bring the motor att. to the seal plate to your local pool pump motor repair guy and have him replace the shaft seal ..BEST CHOICE $20 and ask him how 2 take better care of it (priceless )..hope this helps ... jay the pump repair guy in longwood fl

Our sewer pump loses prime, when we manually re-prime it will pump but constantly loses prime.

pumps that continually loose prime 4 sure have an air leakage problem two places that most pumps can leak air into them are (1) input shaft seal
(2) check valve

the check valve is by far the easier of the two to replace id start with that one first some waste water pumps have two check valves on them one on suction line and one on discharge line (if over 10 feet high)

Have to prime pool pump every time to get it working dont seem to be any leaks

there is a suction leak, cold be lid o-ring, crack in lid or basket, the fittings.. use electrical tape and do each fitting one at a time, watch for the bubbles to stop in the hair basket jandy valves are sucking air, get rebuild kits for your valves on the suction side.. but the first thig i check is the impeller and shaft seal.. prime the pump after any repair !!! .. here is how to remove your pump ..

Not self priming itself. when it turns off the water pushes back out of the skimmer and pushes the basket up. it loses water and the pump cant re-prime itself.

PRIME PUMP, OPEN AIR VALVE ON FILTER. OR TAKE THE LID OFF YOUR FILTER AND SEE IF IT STARTS TO PUMP... YOU DO HAVE IT PLUMBED RIGHT? THE PIPE COMING OUT OF THE PUMP GOES TO THE FILTER !! I'M YOUR LOCAL POOL PUMP REPAIR GUY IN LONGWOOD FLORIDA. WHERE THE POOL IS ALWAYS OPEN

How do i prime an onga pump from repressuring to primiing

Open the priming port at the discharge pipe. Close the discharge valve and fill the priming port with water until it is full. Power up and switch on the pump. While running, slowly open the discharge valve until the water
pressure gage at the pump is 20 psi. That will be the running pressure of the pump, and the maximum opening of the discharge valve.

How do you adjust the NPT brass control flow valve on little giant JP 100 c pump. Even though we have prime, at times, the pump stops pumping water

Assuming that you have a discharge line check valve.
Start with a full close control flow valve. Then Open and fill the priming port with water. Once full, close the priming port, and switch the power on. And then, slowly
open the control valve to appropriate level, such that it
will not break suction. Just send your e-mail for further
assistance.

Takes a while to prime then washes a for about 3 minutes then it seems to be priming the rest of the cicyle

A low water level would cause your condition. Most dishwashers have a full water level at or just below the heating element. Manually fill to that point using the sink spray hose or a container of some sort. If the pulsating sound smoothes out, then you should replace the water inlet valve. Verify the shut off valve for the dishwasher under the sink is fully open. ****If you attempt this repair, be sure to remove power from the dishwasher and shut off the water supply. If the water level was already at the heating element, then consider a blocked pump filter or bad wash impeller.

sounds like a priming problem. look at the check valve in front of the pump in the suction line. sounds as if it is loosing its prime so you don't have enough water close enough to the pump to get it primed.
