    same problem

I have the same model and it forgets the time and date. This dude is talking about live with it. His camera is working fine. Maybe that should be the solution of all errors. If thats the case, just live with it, no need for the form. What if you needed the time stamp for evidence of a situation, and it needed to be presented. Its more than just taking the picture, the cool thing is to have that time and date function-dweeb.

I've got the same problem and it doesn't help when it shuts off and you want to take a quick picture. You have to go through the date setup first! :(

Will the camera work without this item set up or does it stall there? If it works otherwise, just live with it. There is not a 'repair option as such- you could check out the Polaroid Web site tech support team though

Why does the date/time on my L18 keep changing itself

This indicates that the built-in battery of the camera is damaged.(All digital cameras have a tiny built-in battery)

Replace that battery and you'll be OK. Don't ask me how to do that change. Get the manufacturer to point you to the location of that built-in battery or put it to a service centre.

Configuring display language, Date and Time Settings.

Perform the reset operation to initialize the camera’s setup (page 136). After that, configure each setting. If the language selection screen does not re-appear when you turn the camera on, it means that the camera’s built-in memory management area has been restored. If the same message appears after you turn power back on, contact your retailer or a CASIO service center.

My Camera keeps asking me for the date and time every time I turn it on How do i stop this?

Press the m button during shooting or playback to display the setup menu. The setup menu provides access to a variety of camera settings, including options not listed in the function menu, display options, and the time and date. Once you have the date and time set it should stop asking.

Is there an internal battery for the time and the date?

Manual says: "After installing the batteries, the set-time/date message may appear on the monitor. The clock and calendar are set in section 3 of the setup menu (p. 18)."

In fact if you replace batteries really fast (in a minute or two) and time is reset the internal battery is probably exhausted/broken. You have to decide if it is worth of repairing.

My Z1 has 6 years and the clock does't forget time. Maybe next time i'll be surprised...

Reset Date and time

Hi,

yes its possible. Please remove the internal battery once and then put it inside after few minutes. This will reset the date time. while you switch it on once again. it will prompt you to enter new date and time.

Everytime I turn the camera on the time and date

There are two batteries in the camera. One is the big one you charge and the other is a little coin type battery. This coin battery maintains your settings and when it goes your camera forgets things. Same setup on computers and a lot of other electronics. In your camera the battery is a CR1220 worth about $1-$2. It should last about 3-5 years but you never know.

The battery is in a little holder on the left hand side of the camera. Its under the same cover as the usb connector and power plug in. You should be able to pop out the battery holder fairly easily. This is one of those things that if you take the camera to a battery store they will probably do it for you if they aren't busy. If you look at page 137 of your manual you will find the instructions for doing it yourself.

Setting Date/Time on Polaroid a530

I contacted Polaroid help desk and they were clueless. They said there is no way to set the time after messing around with the camera for 10 minutes.

When you pull the photos off the camera it does record a date and time. I believe they forgot to add the option in the setup menu so you cannot get to it. I asked for them to send me a differant camera and the help desk rep laughed.

I guess thats what I get for buying a cheap camera.

Date and time setting dont save, I changed the CR 1220 battery. Still doesnt save. Every time I turn on the camera the date / time setup appears.

In another forum I found a solution:
Remove the watch battery from the camera
Carefully bend the contacts inside the camera toward the opening that the battery fits into. - I used a heavy safety pin to bend the contacts.
Put the watch battery back in.

Adjusting date and time

According to Canon, the backup memory lithium battery (interal) recharges off the main AA batts that you put in... the manual says it takes about 4 hours to charge this battery.
When not in use, leave the AA batts in the camera .. see if this helps keep the date/time memory!
