my wife purse was stolen along with the four button remote key chain which activates the Simon 3 alarm system -- I'm worry someone can deactivate the alarm system and break into my house.
We have two of these remote key chain --- can I delete the lost remote from the Simon 3 system and still keep the other remote I have on-hand. I would also like to buy another remote for my wife and add this to the Simon 3 system. The person who stole my wife's purse already tried to use her credit card and I'm afraid they may eventually try to break into our house -- the GE Simon 3 system right now seems useless since the 'thief ' has one of the remote and can deactivate the alarm anytime.
Just a guess on my part but if you delete them and then re-add the one you have you should be ok. There has to be an initial set up freq locked in when you learn a new fob. If they were all the same then I could take mine to your house and undo the alarm. I don't see that as a possibility. GE would have thought of lost/stolen fobs and this scenario too when they designed it. You'd think so anyway...
You can purchase a new keyfob from a re-seller. Then reprogram your system and reprogram your fobs to the new installation. Basically it's a reinstall. That will fix you.

I have had a working GE Simon 3 for a couple of years. After a recent house remodel, I noticed that the alarm speaker on the panel has been disconnected from the circuit board. There are two possible pairs of pins on the board that the speaker could connect to. When looking at opened panel, there is a pair of pins at roughly 11 o'clock from the speaker, and a pair at roughly 10 o'clock from the speaker. Which of these should I connect the speaker to? Thanks.

My new GE Simon is programmed and ready to go but even though it says doors and windows are armed. Nothing happens when I open the doors and windows in armed mode. No sound, no alarm. I know the sound works becuase when I try to access the panel without an access code it trps the alarm. Also, key chain fobs fail after a few hours. They work fine then lose the code. Batteries have been replaced.
