My 2005 honda accord could not start and the engine dead on the r

I have a problem with my car. I jump started it twice befor this happed today. I could not start it today. my friend helped me to jump start it. Then I drove it out, it was dead on the road after several miles. Before the engine stopped working, the check engine light was one and the panel looked terrible, flash.I couldn't start the engine. After my friend helped me jump the car. I drove it back to parking lot and kept the engine on. But after several minutes, the engine stopped again. I want to know if it is the battery or something else. Thanks

This sounds like the alternator is out or dead when your friend jumped your car it charged the battery enough to drive for a few min then the engine using energy that the battery had very little of it woundnt run the electric parts that require energy this giving you a dead battery.

Why does my 2001 honda accord engine jump when starting

If you're talking about the car moving forward a bit when you start it. This is normal. Just the transmission receiving fluid pressure from the pump.

I have a 1996 honda accord lx and the car dont start I tryed the jump starting it and nothing I think its the firing

Im not clear on the stauts of the vehicle. Is it completley dead as if the battery does not work? Can you charge the battery or check to see if the battery is dead. If you have power going and the engine cranks but does not turn over it could be many things. It could simply be a fuse. Check your owners manual for location of your fuse box. Check all the fuses that goes to the starter, engine , fuel pump, anything that may correspond with electricity or starting the engine etc. Did the run , then stop working or did it do soemthing in between? I need a little more info.

2005 honda accord could not start

My daughter's Camry did the same thing. Odds are the battery is shot. Pull it out and take it by a parts store to get it tested. Her's showed a bad cell and once a new one was put in, the problem went away.

Car stopped working

I had a very similar problem with my 2005 accord a few months ago. Try jump starting the car with jumper cables. If the car starts and everything works normally, then the battery is probably your problem. This turned out to be my problem. Good luck.
