I don't know how to change from double sided printing to single sided

Is your computer running a Windows OS or is it a Mac?

Under Windows, after you press Print in your application (word processor or other program), press the Preferences or Properties button on the pop-up window. (The button title will depend on your version of Windows. It could be labeled as Advanced in some versions of the Canon software.)

Go to the Page Setup tab and uncheck the Duplex printing box. (This is the third section of the window.) Click Apply and then OK.

For the Mac, the setting is on the print dialog pop-up. It's a drop-down menu.

I hope this helps.

(Under some versions of Windows, you can also adjust this setting from the Printer Properties in the Hardware & Devices (Hardware and Sound) Control Panel. Right click on the printer and then select Properties to get the window to open.)

When the printer has big green light and a orange light what does this mean?

Do you mean that the orange attention light is lit and the Go button/light is lit? If the attention light is blinking, then the printer is in manual feed mode or out of memory.

Put in the media and press the Go button. To reset the media selection, go to the Printer Properties. When printing from an application, click Print and then Properties. From the Printer control panel (Start > Devices and Printers (on recent Windows versions) or Start > Settings > Printers (on older OS versions - prior to XP).) In either case right click on the printer icon and choose Properties or Printing Properties.

If you have too large a file (too many large images) and are out of memory, stop and cancel this file in the print spooler. Then reprint with a lower resolution. (This is in the Print Quality options. See the above and then the Paper/Quality or Finishing tab) Options will vary depend on the OS. Alternatively, add memory to the printer.

If the Ready light is also lit, the error depends on the pattern. If the lights are blinking in rotation, then the printer is initializing or printing a test page. If the lights are steady, you have a fatal error. Try unplugging the printer for at least 5 minutes (remove all cords from both the wall, computer and printer for the best chance of clearing the error.) If the error persists, the printer needs service. If all of the lights are blinking together, than you have an accessory problem. Try removing the memory. You may be able to reseat the sticks; alternatively replace the memory.

I hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me how to reduce the DPI of Canon LBP 3050 Printe

Check in the printer properties. You can access this from the printer setup option as you start to print. Click on the Properties button next to the drop down for selecting the printer. Then click on the Quality tab. Alternatively, you can do this from the Control Panel in Windows. Hit Start > Devices and Printers (Start > Settings > Printers on some of the older versions of Windows). Right click on the printer and select Properties or Left click (once) on the printer and choose File > Properties. Again look for the Quality tab. In the Quality tab, you will be able to toggle between the available resolutions. Click Apply to set the setting and then OK when done. (You can also adjust the darkness of the text with the Brightness and Contrast sliders on this tab).

I hope this helps.

How do I print in colour with HP F2280 printer. I need the know how on how to make coloured printing. I have lost the manual of my printer.

You can find the manuals on line for the HP F2280 here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&product=3390947&

1) do you have all of the cartridges installed? When only the black or photo cartridge is in, the printer prints in greyscale. If you only have the tri-color cartridge installed, you get color with black as grey.

2) What program is sending the file to the printer? When you click print, you should get a prompt for the printer that will have a Properties button. (This may be called Printer Setup, Preferences, Options, Printer or Properties) Check the settings at the Color tab. Alternatively, you may be able to access this from the Printer icon in the Control Panel. (For recent Windows OS versions, Start > Devices and Printers. Then either right click or double click on the appropriate printer. (The right click option will let you select Printer Properties directly.) Also check that the program isn't doing a quick print in a greyscale option.

I hope this helps.

The screen on my dell laptop turns upsidedow, plea...

The details depend on your OS. Look at your graphics properties for orientation. In Win7, right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution. This will have a line with Orientation and a drop down menu for Portrait, Landscape, Portrait (flipped), Landscape (flipped). Swap it to the desired option and click Apply then OK. (On some machines you'll see a window that will ask if you are sure.)

The older versions of Windows had Display properties, IIRC as the location.

I hope this helps.

DVDs I burn will not play on other players. Players reject disc

Check that the burner is finalizing the discs. This can be set in Roxio or in the optical drive properties. In Windows 7, right click on the optical drive, choose Properties, then the Recording tab. Then the Global settings lets you choose to finalize the disc on eject. Try a different brand of DVD+R and check that the other players support DVD+R discs. (I know some DVD players only support DVD-R.)

I hope this helps.

My HP 3550 won't print black when it is out of a color.

If you chose: Print in GreyScale, the printer will be forced into Monochrome mode. This is available in the Printer Properties. However, I do not know if this will work on this printer. I have seen it work with other manufacturer's printers (mostly inkjets).

I hope this helps.

After somebody played with the remote control, we can not see the full picture anymore, it is bigger than the screen

Sounds like the zoom or the wide-screen ratio may have changed. The remote probably has a button (or two) related to the feature. Otherwise, you can usually reset this in the Menu (somewhere in the video properties). It may take going through a few settings for the best one for a given video source. (Letterbox, 16:9, 4:3 are typical settings to look for.)

I hope this helps.
