Kodak 760H will power up

I'm assuming you mean the projector will NOT power up. This is usually caused by the lamp thermal fuse opening. The Lamp Thermal Fuse is a safety device that will "open" when it detects an over-temperature condition. The fuse is a "one-shot" device, so once it opens, the cause must be determined before the fuse is replaced. Because the projector is so old, parts may or may not be available. Try contacting: for availability. They purchased all the repair parts from Kodak in the mid-1990's when Kodak stopped supporting the projector business. Good Luck !!

Is the thermal fuse a wire that plugs in or is it a micro chip.and if its a micro chip where do you put in?

A thermal fuse is only used in Sony sets that are LCD rear projection for the most part---they are usually either at the lamp or in series to it.

If the thermal fuse is bad the set will not operate but will have a specific blinking code of the red light----it will blink a sequence of blinks like 5 blinks, a pause and repeat it over and over.

Model number? Blink code?

Can I use a thermal fuse from Radio shack in place of the FL231 micro fuse? the thermal fuse has a 250vac with a max current of 10a?

I wouldn't. Fuses that expire must be replaced with the same type and rating as the original otherwise your safety may be compromised.

Dryer will not start. Checked panel breaker,

There is a thermal fuse that will blow and have to be replaced check the vents for clogs or oinches and clear any obstructions. Let the machine cool and try if it still won't start then pop the top and find the thermal fuse that is the problem.

Turned heat on but only blows cold air

Any product that produce heat have a thermal breaker, a thermal fuse, or both. Thermal breaker usually look like short cylindrical shaped device, while a thermal fuse look like a fuse in which one end is pointed, and it is rated by how many degrees it will go bad. It would say it on the fuse. Thermal breakers will open the circuit when it reaches certain temperature, then closes again as the device cool down. This process keeps repeating to limit the temperature of a heating device.

Oven appears to function normally but doesn't cook at all.

With micro waves, this could be a number of things. They are hard to diagnose using this forum but I'll try. There are three things you can check. One being the thermal fuse. On some models, when it goes bad it put some things out. with others it puts every thing out.
if it's good, check the mag tube (Magnatron). Most of the time, it will be burned on the end if it's bad. tube. The last thing would be the fuse. It is made of ceramic and is a 20amp. It looks like a old round car fuse but it's not. It's made just for micro waves. Honestly, if the thermal fuse and the round 20 amp fuse is not the problem, you may be able to replace the micro wave cheaper than replacing the parts.
Thermal fuse $28.99.
Round 20amp fuse $1.53
Transformer $100.00.
Mag tube $87.00
Capacitor $45.00
Go to and enter your model number. This will pull up every part in the micro wave and their prices. Then you will ba able to decide if you want to replace the parts. With yours being one that's built-in over the stove. These cost more and are worth putting more into. If I can help any more comment back and I'll do what I can.

Popcorn Castastrophy !!!

You would have to remove the top cover and check to see if the main fuse is blown. Usually a 20 amp slo-blow. There are thermal cut out devices, they will reset when the unit cools, so plug it in the next day and see if the clock and power is back up. good luck, Dale

Brews 1 cup at a time

The Micro fuse is opening and closing and almost completly gone.

The Micro fuse is shorted open. There are two underneath the housing. They are made byMICROTEMP® and are the G400 series rated at 216 Degrees Centigrade.

You can check these with a Ohm meter to see if you have continuity. Checking across the leads of each one they should show infinity. if not you've identified the defective fuse. You can pick up a new thermal fuse at Radio Shack. The closest one to the specs of the Microtemp is a Radio Shack part number 270-1321 rated at 228 Degrees Centigrade. Before removing the old one notice which way the hat end faces. As cheap as they are I would replace both at the same time ($1.50 each).
Use a heat sink when soldering the new thermal fuse in place by using alligator clips or a pair of pliers. Reassemble and your back in business as a Barista.

Note: There are four Phillips head screws under the rubber pads. The three unusual screw heads may be removed/installed with a small screwdriver installed in just one of the slots.
