How do fix miss firing on the motor number 2 cylinder?

Cars are computerized these days and the sparking system does not use spark plugs any more but rather a spark module. Just like the old spark plug system though when the tip of one of the spark units wears the gap gets too wide and no longer can bridge the gap. These cannot be adjusted. My V8 Caddy engine has a spark module that had this problem so I had to replace the module which holds 4 spark units, one for each of 4 cylinders. There are 2 modules, 1 front and 1 rear. I only had to replace the front module.

Kenmore gas range when no clicking when turning the oven on

Range: Gas burner won't spark or ignite A surface burner igniter switch and a spark module activate the spark electrode when a burner is turned to the "Lite" position on a gas range's cooktop. If the surface burner switch, spark module or wiring in that circuit fails, the spark electrode won't work, and as a result the gas burner won't light. If those components work but the electrode won't spark, the problem could be that the spark electrode is coated with spilled food of is bent or broken. In addition, the electrode won't spark or ignite the burner properly if the ceramic insulation sleeve below the tip of the electrode is cracked or broken. If the gas burner isn't lighting, these repairs may help.

Replace the spark igniter electrode

1396454293470.jpg The spark igniter electrode-also called the surface burner igniter-is an insulated electrode that provides an ignition spark to light a surface gas burner. It sparks and makes a ticking sound when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the spark ignition electrode if it fails to spark or if the ceramic insulation sleeve is cracked or chipped. How to Replace a Spark Igniter Electrode in a Gas Range Find This Part

Replace the surface spark module

1377098014986.jpg The surface spark module is in the ignition circuit for the gas surface burners. When a surface burner control knob is turned to the "Lite" position, it provides voltage to the spark electrodes on the gas surface burners. If the surface spark module fails to provide the electrodes with voltage, then it should be replaced. Find This Part

Replace the spark igniter switch

1396454315355.jpg The igniter switch is an electrical switch on the stem of the gas surface burner control valve. This switch completes a circuit to the surface burner spark module, causing the burner igniters to spark when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the burner igniter switch if the burners don't spark when you turn the burner control knob to the Lite position or if igniters spark constantly even when the burner knobs are in the Off position.

Repair stihl 45c

Check spark plug is functioning. (replace if unsure)
Check on off switch and wiring from switch to ignition module.
Check ignition module is functioning. (remove earth wire from ignition module, this should make sure the ignition module sends current to the spark plug and not to ground)
Check spacing between flywheel and ignition module. 0.25 filer guage.

Chainsaw has no spark replaced module still no spark

If you have changed the plug and have it firmly earthed against the cylinder and there is no spark pull the earth cut out wire off the ignition unit to rule out the switch and wire, now try again, if still no spark replace the ignition unit.

Weak spark on no. 6 terminal on the coil. coil is good, ignition module is good, crankshaft sensor is good, powertrain module is good

Swap the coil with one of the other coils. If you still have weak spark out of that tower than replace the coil. If you have strong spark once swapped and the other coil tower now has w eak spark replace the module.

Hi there. there is no spark to ignite the gas in oven.

You will need to replace the spark module if you don't hear any clicking, or there is no spark present when trying to ignite the gas.

To test the Spark Module:
When properly operating, the spark module repeatedly produces a spark at the ignitor accompanied by a sharp snapping sound.
  1. Turn off gas and power supply to unit.
  2. Check wiring diagram to verify all terminals and wire connections are correct and tight with no cuts in the wiring.
  3. Prepare to measure voltage on spark module from terminal L to N.
  4. Turn power supply back on.
  5. Turn top burner to LITE position.
  6. If no voltage is present on the meter, this will indicate the electrical circuit is interrupted before the spark module
  7. If voltage is present, then check ignitor.
  8. If ignitors are ok; then replace spark module.
To access the Spark Module:
  1. Turn off electrical power and gas to the range.
  2. Disconnect gas and power from unit.
  3. Remove screws securing top surface burners.
  4. Remove surface burner and disconnect spark ignitor wire from surface burner.
  5. Raise and remove maintop from unit.
  6. Remove screws securing spark module bracket.
  7. Disconnect wire terminals from spark module.
  8. Replace and reassemble in reverse order.
