I have the 5.03 up date the memory stick still dose not work it still says their are no games

Hey there! This means that the Mod on your PSP 3000 is not up to date as the 3000 uses a different mod than the one used for your PSP 2000. That is why.

You will have to install the the ChickHEN for the PSP 3000.

to download a game for the psp
- search for game using bittorrent or any downloading software
- download the game
- save the game on the computer or on a harddrive

to install the game on the psp
- connect the psp to a computer via USB or insert the memory stick on a card reader
- copy the game file from the harddrive to the psp memory card or memory stick pro
- disconnect the psp and try to play the game

note: make sure that the psp is upto date with the firmware because not all games will work right away

if its a PSP GO you just need to go online via WiFi on your PSP GO
- go the sony or psp store then purchase the game download it and save it

Does the memory stick work with other games. Did you remove the memory stick and format in windows?.Maybe you formatted using the NTFS file system if formatted in windows.Format the memory stick again in windows to FAT32 and it should work.

You can format any size Memory Stick Duo in the Sony PSP by doing this:

1. Push the little HOME button on the bottom left of the face of the unit.
2. Use the arrow keys to move to the SETTINGS area, then move the up and down keys until you get to System Settings.
3. Once you are there, click on the "X" button and scroll up and down as needed to find Format Memory Stick. Click on "X" again to select that option.
4. The Sony PSP will now confirm that you want to reformat the memory stick (which removes every file and game save thereon, of course): choose yes and it'll format in just a few seconds.

Now you have a pristine new Memory Stick to work with and should have no problems with music, photos or other material you might seek to copy onto your PSP.

The word ACCESS appears in the LCD and the digital camera does not respond. Solution
If the camera appears to freeze or lock and the word ACCESS is displayed in the LCD, then a problem has occurred during the reading or writing of data on the Memory Stick® media. This could be caused by the media, or the camera itself.
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Perform a power reset on the camera.
2. If the issue is not resolved, turn off the camera.
3. Remove the Memory Stick® media from the camera.
4. Clean the metal contacts on the Memory Stick media with a soft, dry cloth or clean pencil eraser.
5. Reinsert the Memory Stick media into the camera.
6. Turn on the camera.
7. If the issue reoccurs, turn off the camera.
8. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera.
9. Insert a different Memory Stick media.
10. Turn on the camera. NOTE: If the issue does not occur with different Memory Stick media, the previous Memory Stick media may be faulty and should be discarded.

It uses and 128mb memory stick, do an search on ebay for it thats where I bought mine. Got 2 and they work great. The newer ones at the stores won't work.

Either a data or file corruption or the memry stick was damaged. Try to reformat the memory stick and if it won't work you'll need to buy a new one.

Uh oh. Where did you get the stick? Chinese knock-offs look the same but are not the same. They cannot transfer information quickly enough, like the real Sony Memory Sticks do (so it won't work properly). It could also be upside-down, but then it wouldn't fit correctly.

Earlier Your PSP was installed with Custom Firmware. Thats why you were able to play Backup ISO's from Memory Stick. You have now updated your firmware to Original SONY firmware  and SONY wont allow you to run Backup ISO's from Memory Stick.
If you want to play Backup ISO's again you need to install Custom Firmware

Yes, what you need to do here is to format first the memory stick , using the format option on your new PSP because the memory stick should be synch first to the new PSP and make sure that the firmware of the new PSP can play ISO and CSO games, so after you format the memory stick try to load the game back and hopefully the firmware of the new PSP is a custome firmware that can play those kind of games...
