Radio indicates "RX ERROR" on the screen and does not seem to produce any sound to headset. I was investigating a complaint of no sound getting to the headset and the error message began to show up on the screen.

Sometimes on Motorola radios, the vox option get left on. Due to both vox and regular PTT option at the same time, may cause them to RX out of both speakers. So try turning off your vox option which should under menu on the keypad
My solution is to connect the jabra audio jack to the speaker output of my receiver. Jabra need it to detect a source. If the connection to the source is cut, jabra waits around 30 seconds and if nothing happend jabra stop the transmittion. I hope that helps.
This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
hi, you have to connect the jabra audio jack to the audio source, to the speaker output of your receiver for example. If jabra detects the source it will work. If you cut the connection, jabra watch for a while if something happend and than stops the transmittion. Hope that helps
Given the fact that when you key up the mic you should not hear any thing because the receiver section is "turned off" (no antenna and the speaker is muted). This would seem to indicate that the switch the headset controls which allow the change over from RX to Tx is bad or that the circuit in the CB unit which the head set plugs into is having a problem.
Do you hear the same flutter without the headset?
Try to get another headset or test one out just to see if the problem is eliminated by using a known good headset.
